1. Is pronunciation taught effectively? Is there enough room for students to acquire pronunciation correctly? Explain. The objective of the class was Today Ss will be able to ask/answer questions about greetings, later ss will use (object pronouns) to talk about various topics. Until that moment, I was thinking that the topic had involved pronunciation because there were some parts in the books in which ss were supposed to learn new vocabulary, also there were conversation activities. My predictions were right, but the way how the teacher exploded pronunciation was not such effective as I thought because of the next reasons: The first activity from the book was vocabulary. I think this activity was great to practice pronunciation, but the teacher didnt take much importance to it. He just introduced the vocabulary by using some pictures, even though some students were struggling with them. The teacher just read the vocabulary once, and then past to the next activity E.g. Embarrass Thirsty

In the third activity, students were supposed to fill the blank space with the new vocabulary. They were sentences that students were supposed to practice after finishing them to fill up, but they didnt get the point because there wasnt a good explanation and a good pronunciation. In other words, the model was not such effective. Once they finished to fill the blank spaces up, they didnt produce a good conversation because of the new vocabulary. They were still struggling with the pronunciation. After that there were not activities that contributed with pronunciation, but I noticed that during the next activities students had some problems with new words. Students couldnt pronounce some worlds such as: hug, sees, says. One more time there was lack of interest from the teacher. He just explained the mean of the words, but he didnt care about pronunciation.

Also, I noticed that the teacher had eight students to work with patient, but the teacher didnt take advantage of this to improve their pronunciation. On the other hand, teacher didnt care about that 2. Observation task 8 page 390 ERROR: TYPE OF ERROR: INDICATION/ CORRECTION: Are you listen to rock music? Wrong question The teacher correct the student by repeating the same question but with a high intonation. Student realized immediately his mistake. ERROR: It is normal that a Brazilian girl hugs to her friends TYPE OF ERROR: INDICATION/ CORRECTION: Wrong pronunciation (hugs) The teacher waited the students to finish his speech to correct him. The pronunciation war wrong. Teacher showed the correct

pronunciation just to the student.

3. Observation task 10 page 392 Stolen item 1 Description of item: how to make students participate. I stole this because: at the last part of the class students were feeling tired. The teacher noticed that, and he changed of tactic immediately. The teacher used students names to do some funny samples about objects pronouns. Students changed their mood, and they started participating again in the samples. Stolen item 2 Description of item: good engagement I stole this because: the teacher had showed a good engagement since the first minute. He used a good lead in to take students attention. I noticed that it is important because motivated students learn better.
