i. What is Cinco De Marcho?
Cinco De Marcho is a week-long snowboarding holiday / mountain retreat vacation, hosted annually in S. Lake Tahoe, CA. The event is one week long, from Sunday to Sunday (3/2/14 - 3/9/14). While anyone can join for any duration during that time-frame, all participants aim to overlap their presence on one date: March 5th. Participants are comprised of good, groovy, like-minded people (and avid House Heads) all hanging out on a cabin property in S. Lake Tahoe, CA The 3 Peaks Resort & Beach Club (3peakshotel.com). Participants are currently invite-only. Suggestions by invitees for others are welcome.

ii. 3 Peaks Resort & Beach Club

Cinco De Marcho is hosted each year at a cabin hotel property that Reckless Yeti founder Deon Pearson manages in S. Lake Tahoe: The 3 Peaks Resort & Beach Club (3peakshotel.com). This pet-friendly, 62 room property offers standard King or Double-Double Motel-style rooms, 1 & 2 Bedroom Full Kitchen Suites, Poolside Suites (w/Bose surround and in-room jacuzzi), private Junior & Studio Suites, Honeymoon Suites with fireplaces and heart-shaped jacuzzi tubs, and even a 5 Bedroom Cabin! Additionally, its crowning jewel is South Lake Tahoes largest outdoor hot tub; a two-level, double-decker hot tub that can fit 40 people & large enough to swim laps in! The California-situated 3 Peaks is conveniently located just two blocks from the casinos at the Nevada state line, two blocks from the beach, and one block from the shopping district & Heavenly Ski Resort gondola.

iii. Event Features

CDM started as a snowboarding holiday, and while it will always remain snowsport-focused, it also is designed to be a tranquil mountain getaway, showcasing Lake Tahoes pristine natural splendor for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. Whether its racing down a mountain face at terminal velocity, cruising the enchanting 72-mile trip around the lake, playing with lady luck at the many casinos, partaking in the many fantastic shopping and culinary options, or simply enjoying lung fulls of the finest air, there is something for everybody in Lake Tahoe. Cinco De Marcho puts together wonderful people who share a common vibe (hence the invite-only status) to celebrate life on a special corner of the earth in one of the finest ways Mother Nature and modern society has to offer.
iii. Event Features

Shred Lessons: Want to learn to shred like a boss? Reckless Yetis founder Deon Pearson is an AASI-certified snowboarding instructor. With half a decade of riding and hundreds of clients under his belt, Deon knows just how to unlock the snow surfer within you. Deon also has the hook-up on the best deals in town for ski and snowboard equipment rentals. Casinos: Las Vegas, Schmas Vegas! Why subject yourself to the deadly desert heat to roll the dice when you can right in the glorious Sierra Nevada mountains! Harrahs, Harveys, Montbleu and other fantastic gambling options are just 2 blocks away from CDM headquarters! Sightseeing: Lake Tahoe is home to some of the most mind-blowing vistas available in all of the United States! From beachfront tranquility to high altitude eagle-eye views and hikes of gladed glory, the Jewel of the Sierras is sure to have plenty for your eyes, heart, soul (and camera) to capture!
iv. 4cast
The grand finale of Cinco De Marcho! Held the night of Fri. March 7th, 4cast is Tahoes very first House music mega event, hosted at Montbleu Casinos super-groovy disco club: Blu. This event is held in honor of the ski & snowboard industry, and will showcase some of the very best talent in true Classic, Tech, Funky & Deep House music on the west coast. Deon Pearson and guests will be spinning this night-to-never-forget away, with performance stylization customized to highlight the snowboarding lifestyle. v. Logistics
Transportation: Round-trip shuttle service from Reno to Tahoe (and back again upon departure) is only $50. The shuttle will safely carry all passengers (even fully-loaded with ski/snowboard gear) right to the casinos at the CA/NV state line. From there, a free pickup will be arranged to take you two blocks from the casino to 3 Peaks. Car rental is optional but mostly unnecessary as the majority of attractions are within walking distance. Additionally, 2 vehicles will be available to utilize throughout the trip if a longer commute is desired. Cabs are also widely available 24/7 if desired. Clothing: Pack light jackets and base layers. Heavy winter clothing is rarely necessary as Tahoe stays rather warm even during the winter months. Beginner skiiers & boarders spend much time moving around building heat, and tend to drop several layers throughout the day. If a winter storm does hit (which trust us, is a very good thing), there are many shops just one block away that carry anything you may desire. There is no shortage of quality softgoods in town, and some are even available to borrow from the Reckless Yeti crew!
vi. Travel Pricing

Flight: Average round-trip flight costs from Phoenix, AZ to Reno, NV (the closest airport to Tahoe) is between $200 - $300. Booking early with minimal luggage will keep the flight cost the most cost-effective. Recommended airlines are Southwest & US Airways, as they have frequent, cheap trips between the two cities. Equipment Rental: Full equipment rental (which includes board/skis, boots, bindings & helmet range from about $30 - $80, depending on needs. Lift Tickets: Only needed for anyone who isnt a beginner, Ski Resort daily lift tickets range from $60 - $100 depending on the options selected. Ask Deon for discounts that may be available for your specific preferences. Food: A wide range of dining options; from $1 taco stand treats to 5-star cuisine, and everything in-between. Raleys & Safeway grocery stores are also just around the block.

An economical choice for one person or a couple. Still gives the rustic/cabin feel, with simple but cozy amenities at a low price. SLEEPS 1-2

The cabin marks the staple headquarters for Cinco De Marcho & Reckless Yeti Productions. The cabin serves as party-central for all guests, but is reserved for use by the Reckless Yeti team.
