Candidate with Ph.D. degree and qualifying in the National Eligibility Test (NET) (for Sl. Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4) in respective disciplines will be given preference. Deserving candidates with proven abilities also with less experience may be considered.

Civil engineering

** Candidates should possess full-time, 1st Class qualification in the respective areas and should have minimum two years of experience in educational institution / industry. 2. Scale of Pay: (a) Assistant Professor/ Sr. Lecturer/ Lecturer: Candidates will be paid as per the Sixth Pay Scale of Govt. of India and as per CIPET guide lines. Assistant Professor in the pay band of Rs.15600-39100 & GP of Rs.7600/- ,Sr. Lecturers in the pay band of Rs.15600 - 39100 & GP of Rs.6600/- and Lecturers in the pay band of Rs.15600-39100 & GP of Rs. 5400/- with DA. The total emolument at present comes to Rs. 53100/-, Rs. 45630/- and Rs. 37800/- for Assistant Professor, Sr. Lecturer and Lecturer respectively. Other facilities will be provided as per CIPET norms. (b) Laboratory Assistants & Physical Education Faculty: Attractive salary for the deserving candidates based on the qualification and experience. 3. Application Form: The candidates must apply in the prescribed format displayed on the institute website www.cipet.gov.in. Applications complete in all respect strictly in the format provided, along with necessary enclosures in an envelope superscribing the post applied should be sent to the Administrative Officer, CIPET, Ahmedabad Plot No. 630, Phase-IV, G.I.D.C Vatva, Ahmedabad -382445 on or before 25.06.2013. 4. List of enclosures: Date of birth/ Tenth certificate for age proof, attested copies of educational certificates, mark sheets, post qualification experience certificates, any one Identity card with photograph (E.g. Voter ID/ Driving License / PAN Card Ration Card, etc.) and last drawn pay slip. 5. Selection Procedure: Written test will be conducted for short listing of candidates if the applicants are too many. The syllabus for the written test is under graduate/Diploma level of concerned branch / subject. The test paper/Aptitude test will be objective type based on respective branch.

 Interview: Personal interview in front of selection committee. Candidates will be selected based on the performance in written test and personal Interview. 6. Other Terms & Conditions: Services shall stand automatically terminated on completion of 3 years tenure or if the performance is not satisfactory on review every One Year, whichever is earlier. Candidates called for interview will be paid AC three tier train / bus fare on production of original ticket. Appointment of the candidates will be governed by the CIPET rules and regulations in force. The institute reserves all the right to reject any / all applications without assigning any reason thereof. No correspondence will be entertained from candidates regarding postal delays, conduct and result of interview and reasons for not being called for interview. No correspondence shall be entertained from unsuccessful candidates. Incomplete/Unsigned applications and applications without required enclosures will be rejected. The Institute reserves the right to screen and call only such candidates who are found prima-facie suitable for being considered by the Screening Committee. Mere fulfilling of the norms will not automatically entitle a candidate to be called for interview.
