Strategic thinking is gathering information and looking towards the future to anticipate events before they happen and to recognize emerging trends, opportunities, and risks. Strategic thinkers proactively invest in plans and actions that will pay off in the future. Strategic thinking requires some risk-taking, innovation, experience, and intuition. PARTICIPANTS WILL: Define Applied Strategic Thinking and the principles that go with it. Develop the skills necessary to think and act at a strategic level. Align and link the individual strategy with organizational strategy. Identify and exploit opportunities. Analyze strengths and weaknesses. Successfully capitalize on forces and events that shape their life and work. Gather and use intelligence data. Analyze the changes happening today that will influence tomorrows results. The two-and-a-half-day workshop can be conducted at one of the greatest historic sites in the United Statesthe Gettysburg Battleground. The Applied Strategic Thinking Workshop is tied directly to the battlefield strategies used at Gettysburg. Participants will spend part of the workshop exploring the battlefield with an expert tour guide, while our facilitator relates the points of the tour to the workshop and the Applied Strategic Thinking Model. This innovative approach to the workshop delivery is an engaging and a once-in-a-lifetime experience for participants.
