MESSAGE FROM MRS. KENNAUGH With the temperatures dropping lately, and with a break coming up, we often find ourselves inside more often than wed like. I hope you take this inside opportunity to spend additional time with your child(ren). You truly are your childs first teacher! A personal favorite is doing a family game night or afternoon, filling the time with quality conversation while making memories! My family and I also spend time baking together, which helps students apply real-world mathematics (measuring ingredients) while also PLEASE reading and following specific directions. Any additional time and support you can give your child make a tremendous difference. Many activities that will support your childs learning require little time and effort, but the impact is immense. SCHOOL Cuddling up with a good book and reading to him/her or listening to your child read RESUMES aloud helps reading fluency; asking questions about what your child has read ON MONDAY, improves reading comprehension. Not only that, it lets your child know that what JANUARY 6, he/she does is important to you. Math facts can be practiced quickly; story problems can be solved using several strategies, and younger students can count aloud in 2014 many ways for extra practice. Students can keep a journal about important family, personal, or school events as a keepsake for the future. However you spend your holidays, I wish you all a restful, safe, and happy holiday season!

THANK YOU PTO! The staff at Beagle would like to thank the PTO for the wonderful and delicious cookie trays they provided for staff members. We are especially appreciative knowing that parents took time out of their busy schedule to see that each staff member had a tray of cookies to enjoy over the Holiday break.
