TDA FNCE Scholarship Application 2014


Submission Deadline: Monday, February 24, 2014
Note: To be eligible for a TSDA scholarship, a student must be:
1. Enrolled full-time in a dietetics education program (either didactic program in dietetics or
coordinated program in dietetics).
2. Have a GPA of 3.0 or greater.
3. Be a current (i.e. paid) TSDA member, which entails AND membership under the new bylaws.

The Texas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (TAND) Food and Nutrition Conference and
Expo (FNCE) will be held April 24th-26th, 2014, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Nutrition professionals
attend to network with other dietetics professionals, listen to presentations on the emerging
trends in nutrition, and visit with exhibitors.

Two TSDA scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $105.00 each to cover the early bird
registration fee for students, which will be reimbursed at the annual meeting on Saturday April
26. Priority will be given to students who have not attended TDA FNCE in the past. The
scholarship will not cover travel expenses or room and board. If a student is awarded a TSDA
scholarship to attend TAND FNCE, he or she will be expected to submit a 300-500 word article
on his or her experience by Friday, May 2 for publication in the May edition of TSDA Today,
TSDAs official monthly newsletter.
Scholarship award recipients will be notified via email. Please be sure to provide a valid email
address.
