Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine (inStem) and Cellular
and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP) by Department of

NCBS, inStem and C-CAMP will ‘form the Bangalore Bio-Cluster.
To establish the Bangalore Bio-Cluster, inStem will appoint a few

Job Profile : ADMINISTRATIVE/ACCOUNTS OFFICER
QUALIFICATION: ESSENTIAL:
1. Graduate degree preferably in Commerce from a recognized

Management, Auditing, Law and Taxation as major subjects.
2. Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills.

EXPERIENCE:
ESSENTIAL:
1. Ability to work independently on computerized environment
using standard packages for information processing and
retrieval.
2. Minimum of five (5) years of independent managerial /
supervisory experience of handling administration, finance
and accounts with particular reference to recruitment, pay-
roll administration, establishment matters, budget & accounts,
with good knowledge of Government of India rules and
procedures as applicable to autonomous grant-in-aid
institutions for its day-to-day administration & management.
3. Experience in dealing with matters relating to
personnel management, finalization of accounts up to
drawal of balance sheet.
DESIRABLE:
1. Experience of handling matters relating to procurement, import
& export, inventory and stores management. ,
2. Management of contract for outsourced services.
3. Scrutiny, evaluation and finalization of tender documents
and bills following the CPWD Works procedure.
4. Experience of working in a reputed academic and / or
research environment.

Pay Band / Scale (PB-3 of Government of India) Rs. 15600 -

2. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
(a) Age Limits
Must not have attained the age of 32 years on 1st January, 2010.

certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in
the Notice.
Educational Qualifications
A candidate must have passed the written and practical parts of
final M.B.B.S. Examination.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:
11. After scrutiny of applications, eligible candidates will be called for Common Entrance Test (CET)
which will be conducted at the centres mentioned above on 29 Nov 2009 (Sunday). CET will have
objective and descriptive questions to test the knowledge in English and General Awarness, CET
has two parts, namely Part A- Multiple Choice Questions: English & General Awarness & Part B-
Descriptive Test in English (comprehension passage, letter and paragraph writing). Candidates are
to appear for CET at their own expense. Once finalised, details of short-listed candidates based on
CET results will be displayed on our website www.careerairforce.nic.in.
12. Candidates who are short-listed on the basis of CET will be called for Personality Test at one of
the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) situtated at Dehradun, Mysore & Varanasi. Testing at AFSBs
consists of two Stages: Stage I Test consisting of Intelligence Test and Picture Perception and
Discussion Test (PP&DT) will be conducted on the first day. Stage I Test is a screening test and only
those who qualify would undergo Stage II testing. Others would be sent back on the first day itself.
Stage II tests consisting of Psychological Test, Group Test and Interview will be conducted on the
subsequent days (four days).
13. Medical Examination will be conducted at AFCME, New Delhi or IAM, Bangalore for those who are
recommended by AFSBs after stage-II testing.
14. Candidates recommended by the AFSBs and declared medically fit will be detailed for training in
order of All India Merit List depending on the number of vacancies available.
15. No compensation will be paid in respect of any injury sustained during SSB interview as a result
of test.
16. Onus of meeting eligibility criteria rests with the applicant. Merely undergoing CET/SSB testing
would not constitute fulfillment of eligibility requirements.
17. 10% of the vacancies are reserved for NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate holders.
TRAINING:
18. Training is scheduled to commence in the month of Jul 2010.
19. Candidates will be detailed to undergo training of 52 weeks at Air Force Academy, Hyderabad.
The training will include physical training, general service orientation, academic and professional
subjects. On completion of training they would be granted Permanent Commission/Short Service
Commission (as applicable) in the rank of Flying Officer.
IAF OFFERS YOU:
20. Pay and Allowances:- Flying Officers will be entitled to the pay bank of Rs. 15,600-39,100 per
month with Grade Pay. Dearness Allowance, Military Service Pay, Kit Maintenance Allowance,

Selection process:
For the post of Accounts Assistant, the selection methodology will comprise three-stage process
– Written Test (two papers), Personal Interview followed by Medical examination in Cee-one
category.
For the post of Customer Relations Assistant (CRA), the selection methodology will comprise
four-stage process – Written Test (two papers), Psycho Test & Personal Interview followed by
Medical examination in Aye-one category.
For the post of Maintainer, the selection methodology will comprise three-stage process – Written
Test (one paper), Personal Interview followed by Medical examination in Bee-One category.
For the post of Stores Assistant, the selection methodology will comprise three-stage process –
Written Test (two papers), Personal Interview/Skill Test followed by Medical examination in Cee-
One category.
For the post of Fire Inspector, the selection methodology will comprise three-stage process –
Written Test (two papers), Personal Interview followed by Medical examination in Aye-One
category.
In case of PH candidates only, for post codes-01 & 04, we intend to call candidates in
the range of 6 to 8 times the number of vacancies for Interview, after screening of
their applications based on final marks obtained in the qualifying 3 years degree
course examination. The list of candidates short listed (PH) for Interview will be
displayed on DMRC’s website www.delhimetrorail.com , as well as separate call
letters will also be issued to them, calling for Interview.
The selection process would judge different facets of knowledge, skills, comprehension, aptitude
and physical fitness. Candidates will have to pass through each stage successfully (including
Medical examination), before being adjudged as suitable for selection. Candidates, who fail in
the prescribed medical test, will not be given any alternative employment and decision of the
Corporation is final on this issue. Dates of written examination, Result of written

Written Test: For post codes 01, 02, 04 & 05, The written test will consist of two papers
(Paper-I and Paper-II, to be held on the same day in the same centre). Paper-I will consist of
multiple-choice objective type questions, with provision of negative marking for wrong answers,
on General Awareness, English, Logical Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and/or knowledge of the
discipline/trade. The Paper-I shall be of 1.5 hours duration.
Paper-II will consist of subjective type questions on Paragraph Writing, Comprehension, Essay
and questions on Science & Technology matter, in English Medium to judge the candidate’s
comprehension skills & test of English language. The Paper-II shall be of 1.5 hours duration.
Candidates who qualify in Paper-I and rank high on the merit list within the zone of consideration,
as decided by the DMRC, will only be evaluated for Paper-II. Successful candidates based on the
Written Test (Both Paper-I & Paper-II put together) shall be called for Psycho Test/Personal
Interview/Skill Test, at Delhi.
For post code 03, the written test will consist of multiple-choice objective type questions only,
on General Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, English Language and specific ITI trade/
discipline of 1.5 hours duration with provision of negative marking for wrong answers.
The candidates (for all category of posts) to be called for Psycho Test/Personal interview and
Medical examination at Delhi shall be paid to & fro sleeper class Railway fare for journey by the
shortest route between Railway Station nearest to hometown & Delhi. No reimbursement
shall be made to the candidates appearing for the written examination.
Character & Antecedents: The success in the examination does not confer any right to
appointment unless the corporation is satisfied after such an inquiry, as may be considered
necessary, that the candidate having regard to his/her character and antecedents is suitable in
all respects for appointment to the service.
Surety Bond: The candidates selected for posts of Fire Inspector will have to execute a surety
bond of Rs. 50,000/- & Cost of training (apprx.Rs.22,000/-) to serve the corporation for a
minimum period of three years and also a three months prior notice, will be required before
seeking resignation from the corporation.
The candidates selected for posts of Account Assistants, Maintainers, Store Assistants &
Customer Relations Assistant will have to execute a surety bond of Rs. 40,000/- & Cost of
training (apprx.Rs.15,000/-) to serve the corporation for a minimum period of three years and
also a three months prior notice, will be required before seeking resignation from the corporation.
Training & Probation: The selected candidates on appointment will be on Probation for a period
of two years (including period of training), where they will undergo intensive training for prescribed
duration. The Corporation has the right to enhance or reduce the training period at its discretion
for any or all the trainees. During the probation period the candidates shall be required to pass
various examinations.
The service of the candidate during probation period can be terminated by the corporation if the
performance of candidate is found to be unsatisfactory, in accordance with the terms & conditions
of offer of appointment.
Pay & Emoluments: The pay & emoluments for direct recruits shall be as per pay scales under
the IDA (Industrial DA) pattern, plus DP, Dearness Allowance as applicable from time to time and
other benefits which include CCA, HRA, Medical benefit, EPF, Gratuity, and Insurance etc. as per
extant rules of the Corporation. The pay scale are under revision.
Concessions & Relaxations:
l Upper age relaxation by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates (of Central
List) (Formats are available on DMRC’s website), for reserved posts.
l Upper age relaxations by 5 years for candidates belonging to Jammu & Kashmir who
had ordinarily been domiciled in that state between 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989.
l Upper age relaxation by 10 years for Physically Challenged Unreserved candidates, 15
years for physically challenged SC/ST candidates and 13 years for Physically Challenged

OBC candidates (of central list).
l Upper age for Ex-servicemen will be length of service + 3 years, subject to a maximum
age of 40 years. The Ex-servicemen are those who are covered in the definition, as per
extant rules of Ministry of Defence/Govt of India.
l Existing DMRC employees who have completed at least 3 years continuous service in
DMRC as on 1.7.2009, will be given age relaxation to the extent of 3 years as on the date
of reckoning of age limit for i.e. 1.7.2009.
General: Most Important
1. While applying for these posts, the applicant should ensure that he / she fulfils the eligibility
and other norms mentioned above as on the specified dates and that the particulars furnished
by him / her are correct in all respects. In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment that
a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and / or that he / she has furnished any
incorrect / false information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his /her candidature
will stand cancelled. if any of these shortcomings is / are detected even after appointment,
his / her services are liable to be terminated.
2. The validity of the Selection Panel is for two years from the date of its operation.
3. The selection of candidate by DMRC does not confer any right to the candidate for
appointment.
4. The written test will be held at Delhi. However, DMRC reserves the right to allot any test
center outside Delhi without assigning any reason.
5. Candidates employed in Govt. Dept./ PSU/ Autonomous Body must produce NOC from the
present employer on the date of Psycho Test/Interview.

at Service Branch, New Delhi (Code No-7687) indicating on the reverse of the DD, their
name & address, e-mail, telephone no. if any, latest by ­­­­­­­19.10.2009 through ordinary
post addressed to “DMRC Ltd., Post Bag No- 9”, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003. The filled
up application should be sent in the envelope super scribing on it prominently – “Post Code,
Name of Post” Demand Drafts payable at locations other than Delhi / New Delhi will not be
accepted. MO/PO or any other mode of payment is not acceptable. Candidates are advised
to check the details of Demand Draft carefully, before enclosing it with the application Form.
7. In case a candidate wishes to apply for more than one post, she/he may fill separate
applications for each post in separate envelop along with the requisite fee for each post as
specified in para-6 & para-4. All applications should be completed in all respect, as each
will bear a separate registration number.
8. Attach attested copies of Community/Caste Certificate in Central formats (SC/ST/OBC),

9. A candidate who claims to belong to one of the Other Backward Classes has to
submit in support of his claim an attested copy of a certificate in the prescribed
form issued by the competent authority specified by the Central Govt. in their
O.M. No. 36012/22/93-Estt. (SC) dated 22.10.93. OBC certificate should be issued
within one year of the closing date of 19.10.2009.
10. Attach proof of passing/mark sheet/experience of the eligible technical/educational
qualification (Degree/ ITI) with the application form.
11. Candidates should retain a photocopy of their demand draft and application form for future
reference. They should also keep sufficient numbers of same Photograph in reserve for
future use, which they are using in the application form.
12. Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date will be summarily rejected.
13. Request for change of mailing address or e-mail address will not be entertained under any
circumstances.
14. Court of jurisdiction for any dispute will be at Delhi.
