In this assignment you need to write a critical a response based on ANY one of the following tasks: 1. Choose a book that you wish to critically review. Write a critical review of the book in about 8001000 words. Your review should have a tripartite structure with the following details a. A general introduction to link the book with the field of ELE b. A thesis statement of what is your main stance about the review c. A quick content summary of the book d. A discussion on the strengths and weaknesses of the book with respect to usefulness to the field of ELE in general and to the concept the book discusses about in specific. A minimum of three ideas have to be provided. With each idea provide proper justification and evidences (textual/ other examples). e. Your conclusion with comments on the readability of the book with proper justification OR 2. Choose a topic/concept related to ELE and write a critical response on the topic in about 8001000 words. Your response should have a tripartite structure with the following details a. A general introduction to link the concept with the field of ELE b. A thesis statement of what is your main stance about the concept c. A quick summary of the development of the concept and/or its use in ELE d. A discussion on the strengths and weaknesses of the concept with respect to usefulness to the field of ELE. A minimum of three ideas have to be provided. With each idea provide proper justification and evidences (textual/ other examples). e.
