The background and history of late-term births were discussed. Also, in 2003, a ban was placed on partial-birth abortions. Three lawsuits followed this ban. This ban was a huge milestone for anti-abortionists because it was a beginning to the hopeful end of abortions. However, pro-abortionists saw this as a threat to women's rights. Wade legalized abortion under the 14th amendments right to privacy provision. Regardless the public opinion, pro-life advocates battle to overturn Roe v. Wade while pro-choice forces strive to eliminate abortion restriction. This court case is in favor of pro-choice.

The Supreme Court case, Roe v. Wade, is another source that is very helpful because it depicts an actual situation where the rights of an unborn child have been discussed.
