*Indicative rates only A standard full time year of study is 48 Units of Credit. UNSW tuition fees are charged per course. Most courses are worth 6 UOC. The cost of each course is calculated by the (number of units) x (quoted fee) = cost of course. A six unit course in the Faculty of Engineering in 2009, for example, would cost (6) x ($510) = $3060. Refer to : http://my.unsw.edu.au/student/fees/FeesMainPage.html for specific fee bands information and an updated fee schedule. Applicants who notify the University in writing that they wish to withdraw, before they enrol in the program for the first time, will receive a full refund of all tuition fees paid, less an administrative charge of $500. The full amount will be refunded in cases where; the applicant has not been granted a student visa; the applicant is unable to attend because of documented illness or misadventure or UNSW is unable to provide the program for which the applicant has applied and requests enrolment. Students who withdraw from the program prior to the census date for their courses in their commencing teaching period will receive a refund of all fees paid less an administrative charge of $1000. Students who withdraw from their program after the census date for their courses in their commencing teaching period will not receive a refund for fees paid for that teaching period.
