ANB 45, do you dream?

This isn’t something I would think to discuss with you all, but I got a clear unction from the Holy
Ghost that this was the topic for today, so praise God, we’ll get some revelation for sure. Come
to think of it, let’s discuss expectation for just a second. Every time I sit down to write or teach
on God’s Word, I expect revelation. You will receive what you expect. When you read these,
you should expect a Word that will help your life. You should expect to receive. Every time
you go to church, no matter where you go, you should expect to receive. I can go to the most
backward church in the world and still get revelation, because I show up ready to receive, and I
put myself there to do so. Meditate James 1:5-8. This verse tells you that you will receive from
God exactly what you expect. Expect nothing, you will receive nothing. It’s just that simple. So
it’s up to us to begin expecting. We are given a book of God’s promises so that we can expect
certain results. God wants us to trust His Word, so we will expect the Word’s promised results.
When you do this you will receive them. Alright, Praise God. Let’s go.

Let me begin by saying that God leading His people through dreams is an absolutely Biblical
means of communication between God and man. I believe led to tell you to watch your dreams.
While I do not believe this is God’s best means of communication (that being perpetual leading
by the Holy Ghost), this is an anointed way of communication between God and man. These are
the latter days, and God will speak to you whatever way you are open to hear. Few people have
a conception of what it means to be led by the Holy Spirit, but that is changing, Praise God. For
today, I believe the Lord desires to meet us where we are, and to begin speaking through dreams
to His people.

The first thing we must realize is that dreams can be either Godly or ungodly.

“If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make Myself known unto him in a vision, and
will speak unto him in a dream.” Numbers 12:6

“Which think to cause My people to forget My name by their dreams which they tell every man
to his neighbor, as their fathers have forgotten My Name for baal (a false god).” Jeremiah 23:27

So we quickly see that God will reveal Himself to His chosen people in dreams. Sure, this
applies to prophets, but Jesus’ earthly father, Joseph, was led by dreams consistently, and we
never see he was a prophet (he wasn’t even born again). Moreover, you who are born again, you
are at a minimum the prophets over your own life. What I mean is your words will direct the
future of your life. What you declare today, good or bad, will be established tomorrow. So in all
of this, believe you are capable of receiving dreams from the Lord.

We also see that some dreams are not of the Lord.

So, I must tell you how to assure your dreams are from God.

First of all, you should make this declaration. You have power over your mind, you can
command it. Say this regularly, and believe it. “In Jesus’ Name, If I receive a dream from the
Lord, I remember it fully and know its interpretation immediately upon waking. If I receive a
dream not from the Lord, I forget it entirely immediately upon waking. Thank You Lord.” Once
you declare that, from the moment you declare that, believe that you have received what you said
(Mark 11:23,24). Begin, that day, to treat your dreams accordingly. If you expect what you
declared has been established for you, then it is established. If you have a dream, believe it is
from the Lord. Right it down, pray about it.

The second thing you must understand is God will never tell you to do anything outside of His
Word. You will never receive instruction that violates any of God’s laws. The easiest way to
sum up God’s law is by looking at Matthew 22:37-40. Law # 1, Love the Lord your God with all
your heart, soul, mind and strength. Law # 2, Love your neighbor as yourself. These two
commandments fulfill all the law and the prophets. So you will never receive a dream that tells
you to be unkind to someone, or to treat someone else with anger. You will never get a dream to
go buy something or go somewhere that does not honor God. If you believe God has told you
something to do that you wouldn’t be comfortable doing with Jesus Christ holding your hand the
entire way, then you have missed the interpretation.

It is also for this reason that you must become well acquainted with God’s Word. I may be
writing this for one person out there who is beginning to truly seek the Lord. I feel that, I really
do. Please, stay faithful. This is for you. God is ready to take you up in Him. You must read
God’s Word so you can understand His ways. If God tells you to do something, sow a seed for
example (see Mark 4), and you have no understanding of seedtime and harvest, then His Word to
you in the dream will make no sense. Will God tell you something according to His Ways when
you have no comprehension of His ways? Probably not. So get in God’s Word so you can begin
to understand Him and His ways.

You must expect. We’ve touched on this, but let’s get more. You must, according to your
confession, believe that the dreams you now remember are from God. You should write them
down and diligently pray over the interpretation thereof. Praying in tongues is crucial to this
process (hear www.exploitsforgod.com/materials sermon entitled “speaking in tongues” about
this). This will draw revelation direct from the Holy Spirit about your dream to you. If you do
not pray in tongues, pray about receiving that gift, then give me or someone who already has this
gift a call. Then, acknowledge that according to your declaration you have received the
interpretation. When you receive it, which we’ll talk about in a moment, act on it. You believe
it’s a Word from God directly to you. It’s time to trust God and act on it. Dreams from God will
do you little to zero good if you never act on them. It is only when you begin acting on them that
you will truly see all God has for you to see. This will literally, I don’t know how better to put it,
vault your life into a stage of manifestation of God’s existence in your life that you never thought
possible. When you act on what He tells you to do, your life will begin to see what you never
thought possible. His existence will become powerfully and wonderfully clear to you. Praise
God. So, expect they are from God, expect you receive the interpretation, then expect you are
doing the right thing as you act.

Now, as for receiving the interpretation. I believe the first thing to do is write it down. Then
meditate it. You do this by talking it over with yourself. Speak in tongues over it here too. I
find that by telling just one close friend about it I can get a significant amount of revelation
therefrom. Just by speaking it I begin to see. You will likely see some obvious representations
and some that are not so obvious. You must put effort into this, but don’t get bogged down. The
Lord knows your schedule, so give this the appropriate amount of time (until you feel peace that
you have a solid interpretation).

When I begin to feel the time is right, I will turn to the computer where I have typed out the
dream. I then begin to type, trusting the Lord to literally speak through me onto the screen. I
feel the Holy Ghost leading me, and I see the revelation of the dream realized on the page.
Praise God. Sometimes outside circumstances may show you a dream’s interpretation. Like last
night I had a dream where I saw Capri suns in a drawer and called the drawer a gold mine. Then
today I was at a dinner where some guy started talking about Capri suns. Praise God, boy did
that one hit me hard. So, you have declared you have the interpretations, believe you have them,
and you do. Praise God.

I feel released, that I have said enough. I encourage you to use bible.com and search the word
dream. You will see people from wicked sinners, to Godly men of the Old Testament, to born
again believers, all receiving dreams from God. I believe the Lord would like to speak to you
this way too.

Begin to train your Spirit by reading God’s Word. You will see this is Biblical. Watch your
dreams, and expect to receive today.
