I came across this booklet while I was reviewing for the Bar in U.P. Diliman. The author is a graduate of the UP College of Law. If I can still remember right he graduated in !""#. $e did not mention if he had honors when he graduated but he did mention that he was a member of the UP College of Law Debating Team. $e did not immediatel% take the bar. Instead he worked as a car sales man for five %ears before taking the bar in !""&. 'hen he a((lied for a leave he was given onl% a month before he was going to take the Bar. $e had less than a month to (re(are and reali)ing this he formulated strategies to aid him in his review. This is the birth of his *+uerilla Tactics in Passing the Bar* ,I might not be accurate about the title but we lovingl% -ust call it +uerilla Tactics.. This gu% did not onl% (ass the bar he ranked !!th. Proving that with hard work and determination there is alwa%s ho(e. /%son sa%s that one should have a s%stematic and organi)ed game(lan in reviewing for the bar. $e also said that (ra%ers are ver% im(ortant. The trend now is to stud% codal (rovisions during the (re0bar review because I tell %ou there will not be enough time to read D volumes of Paras # volumes of 9e%es several books in TaBation etc.. etc.. so limit %ourselves to the codal and if %ou have time the reviewers. /ur author recommended 4lbanoCs reviewer in Civil Law and also BalbastroCs in Commercial Law. &. Political Law 0 /utline 9eviewer in Political Law b% Cong. 6achura 0 this oneCs reall% good. 5% highest grade in the Bar was in Political Law and TaBation so I know this book works. I read the cha(ter on constitutional law twice. #. Labor Law 0 2ver%oneCs Labor Code b% 4)ucena 0 this oneCs great also. It worked well for me because 4)ucena was our (re0bar reviewer. ItCs eas% to read and ver% brief. 4ll the essentials are there. =. Civil Law 0 Codal Provisions 0 I think there is no other wa% to tackle Civil Law eBce(t b% reading the (rovisions. I used the Codal Provisions in >th %ear law review classes so I have some reminders and notes written on the margins alread% so it was eas% for me to review. <ou should bu% the one (rinted b% Central Bookstore but if %ou have one now itCs oka%. DonCt bu% a new one. >. Commercial Law 0 Commercial Law 9eviewer b% 5iravite and Codal Provisions b% 4gba%ani ,its this blue book which is a com(ilation of all commercial laws banking cor(oration etc.... E. Criminal Law 0 Com(endium b% 9egalado and Pointers in Criminal Law b% 7andoval codal (rovisions 0 If %ouCre doing great with %our GBL 9e%es book then stick with it. The Com(endium is (rett% eB(ensive. I -ust bought it because m% GBL 9e%es book is circa !""= so it doesnnCt have all the new ammendments to the laws. &. 9emedial Law 0 +et hold of the Codal Provisions... 9evised 9ules of Court... I used both volumes of 9egaladoCs Book because that was what I used when I was a student.

F. Legal 2thics 0 now this is free for all... but I suggest %ou -ust memori)e the 4ttorne%Cs /ath 9ead and (ut to heart the Canons of Professional 2thics and Gudicial 2thics too. ;or the ;orms I have to admit I did not stud% for this but I (aid attention to the hand outs given to us during the review. 7o that in a ca(sule is the list. I ho(e it could hel( %ou in formulating %our game(lan for %our review. The most im(ortant thing is that %ou know %ourself %ou know %our weaknesses %our strengths and formulate %our (lan according to what %ou know.
