Post subje ct: STAAD TO ETABS
HELLO SEFIANS, I m new to etabs and i want to export staad file to etabs. i was able to do only geometry but not loading and property.. please help me out here...
Hi, You can open ETABS, go to File->Import and choose GT STRUDL/ STAAD file and use it to import staad file. If your staad model has floor loads, it is suggested that you comment them out and import without those loads and then add the slab panels to the ETABS model and apply loads to them. Generally, the model including loads and properties will get imported. It will be necessary to define the floor grid system and storey levels to navigate the geometry in ETABS. Hope that helps. Arun
