I READ THE FOLLOWING TEXT CAREFULLY.

JUNIOR AMBITIONS
Craig Dodd, 16:
Im ambitious but I keep changing my mind. I want to get good grades at school, then go to university
and do a degree in media studies. University is a good way to help you achieve your ambitions
because you need qualifications and have to know what you are doing. Eventually Id like to be a
5 director of my own company. My family and friends inspired me and gave me advice. I want to have a
job I enjoy but money is also important. You dont have to be old to achieve what you want. I believe
you can achieve your ambition at any age.
John Wilkins, 17:
I dont have any long-term ambitions. When I leave school I would like to go to university. Before I go, I
10 would like to get some job experience and travel a bit. Some famous people have inspired me. People
who really work for what they believe and have meaning in their lives other than money. There arent
really any specific people that put me off, just particular jobs I wouldnt like to do, such as working in
McDonalds or cleaning toilets!
Succeeding at your ambition depends on being focussed and determined. I keep changing my aims
15 because my main ambition is to be happy. I work mainly for the money rather than enjoyment.
