Signals not indicated above cannot be input and displaying them on the V610T screen is not possible. To display the Windows screen, it is necessary to set the refresh rate to 60 Hz. An example of refresh rate setting procedure is shown below. Display the control panel by [Start] -> [Settings] -> [Control Panel]. In the dialog, double click the [Display] icon, then display the [Refresh Rate] item by [Display Properties] -> [Settings] -> [Advanced] -> [Adapter]. Set 60 (Hz) for this item. Note that the procedure for displaying the refresh rate setting item differs depending on the PC you are using. Please refer to the Users Guide of your PC for details of the setting procedure. If the cable connecting V610T (connector: CN3) to a PC is long, the display may vibrate due to noise. To eliminate adverse affect of noise, it is recommended to attach a ferrite core to the connection cable. 1

Screen Adjustment
Screen adjustment is necessary since RGB output frequency of the Windows screen, the BIOS screen, and the DOS screen may differ from each other for some PCs. If only one kind of output frequency is used, setting may be made for either Setting 1 or Setting 2. Adjustment procedure 1. Display the Main Menu screen.

Cautions on RGB inputs

The display mode at the V610T does not change to the RGB display mode unless the RGB input exists (cable is not connected). The display returns to the RGB screen when RGB signals are input (cable is connected) as long as 1 is set at bit 12 of the read area (n+1).

Selecting the RGB input parameters

Selecting the RGB input parameters using the macro command Two kinds of RGB adjusting parameters, Setting 1 and Setting 2, can be set. If the frequency differs between Setting 1 and Setting 2, V6 recognizes which of the parameters should be used and automatically selects the proper parameters. However, it selects the parameters set for Setting 1 if the frequency is the same between Setting 1 and Setting 2. When different parameters are used although the frequency is the same, selection of parameters, Setting 1 or Setting 2, is possible using a macro command. Usable devices

Then, install the touch panel driver following the instructions displayed on the screen. [Welcome!] -> [Select folder] -> [Select Destination Directory] -> [Install system tray icons.] -> [Number of devices (set to 1.)] -> [Define device #1 (as default, Whole Desktop and Device 1 )] -> [Please select the controller type for Device 1 (select Gunze, AHL, Serial )] -> [Please select the port for Device 1 Controller (select Auto Detect )] -> [Ready to Install] -> (installation starts)

With the operation above, the PC automatically reboots and, at the same time, V6 enters the RUN mode. Switch the display mode of V6 to the RGB input screen and boot Windows. 8

8. The calibration software automatically starts at the booting of Windows. Set the calibration data. (Refer to item 3 of Cautions below.) This completes the installation of the touch-panel driver. 9. To set the TOUCH PANEL DRIVER PN-WIN98/95 (Gunze) again, start the touch-panel driver by clicking the menu items in the sequence of [Start] -> [Programs] -> [Gunze] -> [PNWIN98_95 Serial] -> [Touchpanel Driver]. If the setting is changed, the new setting is enabled when the PC is run next. To set the TOUCH PANEL DRIVER U-TP (Gunze) again, start the touch-panel driver by clicking the menu items in the sequence of [Start] -> [Programs] -> [Gunze] -> [U-tp] -> [Calibrate]. If the setting is changed, the new setting is enabled when the PC is run next.

Cautions 1. Using the Windows screen displayed at V6, it is not possible to change the screen to the Main Menu screen. 2. When installing the touch-panel driver, setting is necessary using the [Hardware Controls] dialog. [Com port] Select the COM port of the PC to be connected to the V6 MJ port (for touch switches). [I/O Address] Designate the address of the selected COM port. [IRQ] Designate the IRQ of the selected COM port. If the COM port to be connected to the MJ port of V6 and its address and IRQ are unknown, refer to the Users Guide of your PC. For the items below, setting is fixed. [Baud Rate: 9600], [Pality: None], [Data Bits: 8], [Stop Bits: 1] 3. Correct the positional offset between the touch position and the mouse cursor display position using the calibration software. Touch the red X symbol displayed at the four corners of the screen in the following order as precisely as possible: 1st point (lower left corner of the screen) -> 2nd point (upper right corner of the screen) -> 3rd point (lower right corner of the screen) -> 4th point (upper left corner of the screen). Make sure to touch all of these four points. Since operation using the touch switches is not allowed if the calibration setting is not successful, repeat calibration operation if the first attempt was not successful. 4. Once you install the touch-panel driver, the serial port used for the installation cannot be used for other applications until the touch-panel driver is uninstalled or the port setting is released with adjustment setting. 5. If the PC has only one COM port, use another PC for transferring the screen to V6. 6. About the way to use the adjustment setting of U-TP, refer to the HELP menu of GUNZE. (Normally, use the default setting.)
