Mission
The primary mission of the JemHadar Fighter is the patrol of Dominion space, with combat support of ground troops. These ships usually operate in groups of three, to better take advantage of their maneuverability and firepower. In many ways the Fighter is similar in function to the Klingon Bird-of-Prey.

Background
The JemHadar Fighter is the primary starship in use by the Dominion fleet. Huge numbers of these vessels have been produced in Dominion shipyards, and the Founders think nothing of losses in the hundreds and thousands so long as their objective of order and control is achieved. After invading the Alpha Quadrant, later variations of the JemHadar Fighter would appear that focused on increased beam firepower at the cost of reduced missile power.

Features
The Fighter is very well-armed and defended for its size, comfortably equaling the firepower of many other species light cruisers, despite being smaller than many escorts. The Fighters torpedoes emit a phased polaron beam that allow the torpedoes to bypass Federation shields. The Fighters shields are enhanced to the point that tractor beam lock is disabled when used against it. One side effect of the shield enhancement is that the shields are particularly vulnerable when targeted from above (-4 Protection from above).
