Primary Members

Primary members consisting of columns and rafters are the main load carrying members of the structural system. They are also called Built-Up Members and are usually an "I" shape, made from individual flat plates welded together. High strength HR Plates are used in their fabrication. Built up sections are made from these plates in automatic beam welding line by submerged Arc welding (SAW). Specification Conformance: ASTM A572M

Secondary Members

Secondary structural members are used to support the wall and roof panels and consist of purlins, girts, eave struts, flange brace etc. They share part of the longitudinal loads that are applied on the building such as wind and earthquake loads. They also provide lateral bracing to the compression flanges of the main frame members thereby increasing frame capacity.

Purlins and girts are cold rolled formed light gage Z sections varying in depth from 180 to 300 mm and in thickness from 1.5 mm to 2.5 mm as per design requirements. All primary connection fasteners will be with high strength bolts conforming to the physical specification to ASTM A570M and IS: 2062

Multi Level Steel Buildings

For multi-level buildings, an intermediate mezzanine floor is included in our design. It consists of columns, beams, joists, deck panels and edge trims to receive reinforced concrete.

Crane Beam and Brackets

Crane beam to support an overhead or under hung bridge crane is part of many of our steel buildings. Brackets for structural support are welded to the primary building frame to permit attachment of the crane beam. Crane rails, beam hoist and bridge are excluded from our supply.

For roofing and wall cladding, superior quality metal sheets are used. Our sheets are 26G TCT Hi Rib of 550 MPA Steel. Our sheeting solutions ensure high strength, better over lap, weather tightness, corrosion resistance, low maintenance cost and good aesthetics. Options available:

Bare Galvalume Sheets Pre-painted Galvalume (PPGL) Sheets Pre-painted Galvanized (PPGI) Sheets PUF Insulated Panels

Galvalume steel is a zinc aluminum coated steel offering high corrosion resistance. This alloy coating com comprises of 55% aluminum 43% zinc and 1.5% silicon. This Coating offers a superior barrio protection against varied atmospheric conditions. The coating class is AZ-150 as per AS : 1397, which means 150gms/m2 minimum coating mass total of both sides. Galvalume sheets are available in tensile strengths of 300, 345 & 550 MPa Galvanized steel comprises of galvanized zinc coating over mild steel of minimum coating mass 120 gms / m2 as per IS 277 and IS 14246 in tensile strength of min. 240 MPa. PUF Insulated Panels The outer and inner metal skins of Insulated Panels conform to the same specifications as above. In addition, Insulated Panels have factory injected polyurethane foam (PUF) for thermal insulation.

Building Sub-Structures and Accessories Canopy

Canopies and roof extensions are part of many PEB designs. They enhance utility as well as aesthetic value of the building. They are made using hot rolled or built-up members. They are beyond the steel lines of the building and located below the eave.

One of the most essential accessories in any PEB design gutters and down spout pipes ensure movement of water over the building surface. They are produced from the same material as wall and roof sheeting.
