Ashoka, the great Indian emperor had devised his own means of communication. He used to publish the imperial edicts on rocks and stone pillars. The news of the day was published in small pictures drawn on the walls of temples with ink or color. The establishment of The Moghul Empire in India ushered in awareness in the field of journalism. The Moghu rule organized Communication in written newspapers of kind in circulation. He improved the Conditions of the news paper in all areas and treated press as an independent unit from the government, which is free to express the needs and desires of people. Now, press in India is of high quality, it is satisfying its lakhs of readers through providing information across the globe about a11 aspects. It is doing a service, which is apart of democracy. The first Indian language news paper was DIGDARSHAN in Bengali from Calcutta in the year 1818. MANGALORE SAMACHAR was the first Kannada daily newspaper from Mangalore. News paper provide information about current affairs, sports and Entertainment, political and Economical stability, Technology and market charges, environmental and Geographical variations of a region or a country or of globe.
