I am N.Anil Reddy and have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Engineering from KG REDDY CO EGE O! ENG"NEER"NG AND #EC$NO OGY, Hyderabad, affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad ( INDI !" fter securing a distinction in my #"#"$ e%am &Higher #econdary 'ducation( at % &E %"RDS 'ODE $"G$ SC$OO , ni)amabad, I was *een on ta*ing u+ #cience as my ma,or in -re.University 'ducation" I was successful in ,oining one of the well *nown institutions, SR" C$A"#ANYA (&N"OR CO EGE , Hyderabad" I com+leted the course with an overall +ercentage of /0 and /1 in my ma,or (-hysics, $hemistry, and 2athematics!" I decided to +ursue my interests and considered further studies in the field of 'ngineering" I too* u+ the CO''ON EN#RANCE #ES# (' 2$'T!, a +rere3uisite to be admitted to one of the +rofessional colleges" I was ran*ed 44500 in the engineering disci+line out of 6,00,000 students "This hel+ed me to obtain a +lace KG REDDY CO EGE O! ENG"NEER"NG AND #EC$NO OGY in my field of interest, $om+uter #cience and 'ngineering" India was a budding economy and the introduction of com+uters in the Indian household was not less than any miracle those days" 2any +eo+le around me were using $om+uters" They used to always tell me about how much they *new about them and their ade+tness with them" I believed them for 3uite sometime" 7n a close encounter with such +eo+le I reali)ed that all they *new were certain bland facts about the com+uters as rudimentary as +ressing ctrl.alt.del would restart the system" They couldn8t tell me why they said com+uters li*e other machines understood only one language on and off" How this on and off (which I *new was called Binary! hel+ed in building a system with this great an ability" I then decided that all I needed to *now could be learnt only by studying com+uters in a formal way" This is how I decided to study 'ngineering in the field of com+uters" 9ell aware of the fact that interest alone will not be sufficient for my studies I was constantly nervous about how I would fare in this world" This fear of mine was +ersistent through the first semester of my 'ngineering" However, the first +rogram I wrote(in $! in the second semester dis+elled all my fears" This was because all my friends in the class had done a +revious course in $(which I hadn8t! and I found myself writing the +rogram way before anyone else in the class and also a better one, which I had to e%+lain to all of them" #ince then I have never doubted my decision to study com+uters and have felt at home doing it "

I have constantly strived and relied on my undergraduate training +eriod to build a strong setu+" The undergraduate curriculum included a number of sub,ects and electives which were dealt in both classroom and laboratory" 2y fields of interest have been sub,ects li*e :ogic Design, lgorithm Design and nalysis, ;inite utomata and ;ormal Design, #ystem #oftware, $om+uter Networ*s and 7+erating #ystems" fter my B"T'$H" I always thought that I would get a ,ob and continue doing what I have always loved" I was a little ta*en abac* when I heard the com+anies coming for cam+us selections offering testing ,obs" I *e+t saying <no8 to all such com+anies li*e 2otorola, No*ia, Huawei among others for which I had been short listed" I started feeling des+erate and said <yes8 to a database ,ob with Intel and in the hr round of interview all they as*ed was if I would do any *ind of ,ob offered" 2aybe my body language said it all although I said yes" I wasn8t made an offer" Hence, I decided to go with 9i+ro, since it was at least a develo+ment ,ob" fter wor*ing for sometime I got to *now that we don8t get to choose anything about our wor*" This was when I decided that I would never ,oin a com+any unless I am told e%actly what role I will be +laying in the com+any" I *new the only answer to all this was research" I have never studied anything because I had to write an e%am" I did well only on +a+ers I en,oyed writing" 2aybe that is why I got my second <good8 on my +a+er for writing an algorithm on the =ahoo +a+er, which was long after my :>? days, when I got my first" $onfident of having a solid ground wor*, I loo* forward to +ursue my master8s +rogram" lso I feel that @esearch is what I was loo*ing for all these years " New challenges are +osed in the course of wor*" It will be an o++ortunity for me to e%+erience all of them"
