Pharmacist Procurement comes in the duties of Distribution Pharmacist as per new policies. Analysis will help for decision making & to identify the areas where Distribution System spending unwanted cost.
Clearing
Second step is ordering and its confirmation from supplier as per procurement model.
Distribution Pharmacist is the only authorized, key person to implement & counter check this system.

As per SOPs for inventory control in Global Distribution Quality System following important standards are,
Product Segregation Batch Segregation Damage Claim Temperature based division as per individual product need. Coding of all of Items as per system needed to be followed Daily inspection of Mfg. & Expiry Dates report Temperature & Humidity Report FIFO First in First Out LEFO Low Expiry First Out

1. Inventory Area 2. Damage/ Expiry Area 3. Claim Area 4. Recall Area 5. Dispatch Area 6. Return Area 7. Picking/Dispatch Area

Crack free walls, floor & roof Rodent (Rodent Traps), dust (Strip Curtains), insect control system (Electric Insect Killers) Inventory must be apart from floor & walls Termite treated. Emergency Exit. Precautions must be pasted over the wall both in English & Urdu Authorized person (Trained Under the SOPs) are only allowed in storage area.

Delivery
Invoices must be with the supply no manual editing or batch difference is acceptable, unless manual editing is verified by Distribution Pharmacist. Warranty must be issued as per Drug Act 1976 & that must be duly signed by Distribution Pharmacist. The Pharmacist should verify the validity of Drug Sales License. To whom stock is issued. Incase of unlicensed premises, Pharmacist must not sign the warranty. Shipper name, vehicle number must be entered in system to avoid issues or tracking any kind quires by the Vendor Company or MOH. In order to make system efficient an activity is recommended, name mock recall, means trace the batch number of different products, those when and to whom dispatched to the market and verify your information from market.
