This interview was extremely helpful, because Terence Farmer provided his opinion of the Code of Conduct because he lived it for multiple years as he worked for the army for multiple years. This interview gave me a better description of the Code of Conduct's impact on every day soldiers in general. Hastings, Paul C. Personal interview. N.d. This interview was also very helpful, Paul C. Hastings gave me personal experience of how the Code of Conduct effected him as a Colonel. With this and all of the other interviews I was able to infer that the Code of Conduct has a similar effect to all soldiers in the US military. Holt, Kirk L. It also gave me quotes to use for my website. McCain III, John. The Code of Conduct and the Vietnam War. N.p.: n.p., 1974. Print. This is a very helpful source because it gives me proof from a former Vietnam war POW Senator John McCain that he believes the Code of Conduct helped him resist the enemy. The only known surviving photograph of Prison Camp No. 5 in Pyoktong, North Korea, where Chaplain Emil Kapaun was held and died. Several prisoners managed to hold on to cameras upon being captured. This is a copy of the real Code of Conduct, the exact words that a soldier is expected to follow.

This source gave me information on how POW's disregarded their duties in order to get better treatment. It helped me support my point that before the Code of Conduct was issued POW's had a harder time following through with their duties. It even said what the US had learned after the Korean War. It was also helpful to understand and have a source that talks about traitor pow and how that effected other pow.
