Dear RPIA Families, Due to our winter weather, we have missed several days of school and have had several two-hour delays. With that in mind, how are teachers helping our students prepare of ISTEP? Below are key activities, strategies or events students are experiencing each day at school to help prepare them for ISTEP: Personalized Learning: Teachers have created individualized learning paths to provide opportunities for each student to review areas of much needed improvement for both math and language arts. Curriculum Maps: These maps identify academic standards that are addressed on ISTEP. Focus: A thirty minute period of time provided to teachers and students to review, maintain, or enrich key learning skills. Puma Camp: Provided after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4:30 p.m. Key standards and skills are reviewed prior to ISTEP. Success Talks: Mr. Koomler will be meeting with each class to encourage, support, and challenge students, from their individual data and to do their personal best.

CORE
is a collaborative series of workshops with Warren families and staff in grades Kindergarten through 6th grade. Each PAC session offers dinner at no charge and activities for students during the presentation. The purpose of these workshops is to share information on topics such as report cards, homework tips, school safety, student behavior, and the special needs of kids. Each year, parents will be surveyed for possible presentation topics. It is our goal through the PAC Workshops that parents make connections with not only the school, but also other parents.

Students whose parents attend may participate in dinner and activities, supervised by members of the WC Student Council.

This alternative texting service let your children chat and swap pictures while bypassing your wireless provider's SMS service. So if you are checking your childs normal texting history for signs of misbehavior, you will not find any evidence.

Every day, 400 million photos are shared and then they disappear, as Snapchat has them automatically self-destruct in ten seconds or less. The problem? Apps that let others capture those supposedly temporary images and post them online are now widely available. Snapchat recently began offering a Stories feature that lets photos survive for up to 24 hours.

Dating apps like this let you scroll through images of other members and flag the ones you like. If they also like you, you're both notified, and then you can contact each other. The problem? While some services require users to be 18 or older (Tinder's minimum age is 13), they never actually verifies anyone's age. It doesn't get any scarier than that.
