Low-alloy steels are mainly suitable for heavy-duty and load-bearing constructions because the mechanical properties are guaranteed to remain consistent across the whole cross-section of the material. Quenching with water, oil or air means that more complex pieces with large differences in cross-section can be heat-treated.

GS-20MnMo5 5 is an economical steel for cross-sections with a diameter of up to 50 mm. GS-20MnCrMo5 is a steel for crosssections with a diameter of up to100 mm.

Compressor housings, valve housings, pumps, fittings, petroleum industry. The GS-22Ni10 and GS-10Ni14 quality steels are also resistant to alternating stresses.
