Resources for: Art
Artists of ECU, find inspiration
and instruction in the library.
Use the reference section to find
notable artists, highlights from
certain points in history, or
works from nontraditional art-
ists. Look through the materials
in the main stacks to find books
on specific artists, movements,
cultures and styles. There are
even how-to books in the art
section: everything from brush-
work to printmaking. Art materi-
als have call numbers starting
with N, so stay in those sections
for excellent art sources.
If youve ever wanted to see
the works of art referenced
in an article before reading it,
use the e-resource Art &
Architecture Complete. You
can narrow your search to
only those items that have
pictures, so you can be sure
the articles are the ones you
need.
If youve made an incredible
piece and want it memorial-
ized, visit Media Services to
get a scan of your artwork
made on the new overhead
scanner or to make poster
copies of your work. Though
Media Services is happy to
make copies of your personal
works, you may have to get
permission to make copies of
other artists.
