Placement Report 2013

NIFT Campus Placements 2013 were held at the old 7 campuses of NIFT viz. New Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Gandhinagar, Kolkata & Hyderabad during 2 9 t h January to 2 0 t h February 2013. A total of 374 companies have registered for Campus Placements offering 1733 job vacancies. The number of companies which participated in on site-campus placements was 293, out of which 192 have recruited 709 students and 92 students got placed through Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) resulting in the placement of 801 students. The strength of the appearing batch was 1914 out of which 1601 students have registered for campus placements. A second round of placement is underway in June, 2013. The discipline wise analysis of placements 2013 after the first round is given in Table 1:-

The average salary during Campus Placements 2013 for t h e s t u d e n t s f r o m Masters Programme is ` 3.80 lakhs per annum w h e r e a s t h a t o f for Bachelors Programme is ` 3 . 0 1 lakhs per annum. The average salaries obtained by students from different programmes during Campus Placements 2013 vis--vis 2012 & 2011 is shown in Graph I.

Future Group has recruited maximum number of students (47 nos including Bachelor & Master students). Trident has offered the highest salary of ` 15.00 lakhs to Master students and ` 9.00 Lakhs to Bachelor students and have also recruited 7 numbers of students.
