New Teaching Series Leadership Jesus was a good leader and servant. A servant is someone who will do things to help others and who will put others first. Today, your child will learn that to be a good leader, like our example Jesus, we must learn to serve others just like He did. Bottom Line: If you want to be a great leader in Gods kingdom, learn how to serve others. Winter Olympic athletes go through a lot of preparation for the game. They learn the rules, they get in shape, and most important, they condition themselves to the cold. They prepare for it, and embrace it when it comes. Jesus said that we would have troubles in this life because we are his followers. Jesus didnt want to scare us, but to prepare us so we would be ready to face trials when they come. __________ PLEASE NOTE 103 228 142 105 We have several of our round table cloths that are missing. Possibly someone has used them for a shower or party and took them home to wash and has forgotten to bring them back. Please check your laundry room or around you house to see if you still have them. Thank you! The Food Pantry is always in need of donations. Check the list on the bulletin board and help us replenish the Food Pantry. Please make sure the food you bring is not out of date. We cannot give food that is out of date to those who come with a need. Shower hosted by family! ___________ This is the miracle that happens every time to those who really love; the more they give, the more they possess.

OUR UNFAILING HELPER A young pastor preached about Christ healing the man with the withered hand (Matthew 12: 10). A few days later, the pastor visited a man who had suffered a stroke . that had left him with a withered arm and hand. This man had heard the pastors sermon and said to the pastor, I know of no one who can touch and heal me, but I can tell you one thing. I have learned that Christ is the only one who can help me deal with it. Others are nice to me, but Christ is the only one who can really help me. Because of the depth of his faith, the man had found healing for his spirit and thus could handle the weakness of his body. (Copied)

AWE-INSPIRED WISDOM George Washington Carver, late in life, was asked by a writer what he thought was the most indispensable thing for science in the modern age. Carver replied, The capacity to awe. The capacity for awe. What a strange thing for a scientist to say! Awe is what opens our minds to the infinite intelligence of God. Awe is what connects our limited hearts to the limitless love of the Lord. Awe is what helps us to see Gods glory in the sea and the land and the moon and the sun.
