The Eaglesoft Development Group Cirrus SR22G2/G3 Turbo Avidyne PFD includes features from the newest 6.0 Software, and a Flight Director to assist pilots in proper precision flight. The following features are available. 1. Flight Director Flying Wedge aircraft reference display. Percent of Power Bar [not shown] 2. V speed Labels for VX, VY, and VG [Best Glide] are displayed on the Indicated Airspeed Tape. Note: These are not dynamic in the flight simulation version. User cannot change them. 3. Cardinal Heading Reference Marks on the Horizon. Works like a magnetic compass. 4. ADF Bearing feature now available when ADF Receiver is used. See Cockpit Layout Manual for transparent hotspot location. Clicking this location will bring up an ADF\DME receiver window. 5. Engine Information Data Block. May be toggled off by clicking lower right screw on PFD bezel. 6. Enhanced Autopilot Annunciations across the top of PFD.
There are two lighted Push Button Remote Panel Switches located on the upper left side of the instrument panel. The remaining portion of the Flight Director System is software dependant.
In Flight Director Mode, FD will be displayed in the Autopilot Annunciation Field, the Command Bars will be visible and Green, and the pilot is expected to manually fly toward the Green Command Bars.
In Autopilot Mode, AP will be displayed in the Autopilot Annunciation Field, the Command Bars will be visible and Magenta, and the Autopilot will fly toward the Magenta Command Bars.
Flight Director on Startup. The Autopilot is Ready to be made Active and the Flight Director Command Bars are not displayed. Yellow Flying Wedge is visible.
The Autopilot is made Active by selecting HDG [Roll Command] and ALT\VS [Pitch Command], AP ON will light, and the Flight Director Command Bars are now displayed in Magenta. The Autopilot will now fly to the Magenta Command Bars.
The Autopilot is made Active by selecting HDG [Roll Command] and ALT\VS [Pitch Command]. Pilot must now select [AP OFF FD ON] button to select the Flight Director Command Bars, which are displayed in Green. The pilot is now expected to fly to the Green Command Bars and is fully responsible for directional control.
NOTE: STEC 55X Disconnect Button is located on the top of the Yoke. It is visible any time an Autopilot Popup Panel is used.
