o Admission is dependant on GPA, extracurricular involvement and teacher recommendations. o I was admitted in my junior year and continue to be involved in my senior year. o As a member of NHS, I help organize the yearly blood drive, a Christmas toy drive, and the Special Friends Prom for disabled adults at the Friendship House. o In my senior year I was elected as the Community Service Chair of NHS. In this role I will organize monthly service opportunities for NHS members. In addition to regular NHS meetings, I will also serve on the Executive Board and will attend Exec. Summer Service Team Leader

o Service group through my church o Assist with Meals on Wheels, park and neighborhood cleanup and the local Food Bank o Lead a small group of ten on our weekly service endeavors o 6 weeks throughout the summer, for a total of 15 hours

o I have been involved with the theater program at my high school since my freshman year. o Set design, lighting, ticket office, usher, chorus member (on-going throughout the four years) o When a play is in production, we have rehearsal/meetings every day after school for at least two months prior to opening night. Lifeguard

o My primary duty is safety of the pool. o Secondary duties include testing pool chemicals, keeping the pool area clean and customer service. o Red Cross certified in lifeguard rescue skills, oxygen administration, CPR and First Aid o During the summer months, I typically work 25 hours per week at the pool.
