Included in this source is an article written by Sumbul Ali-Karamali, a Muslim woman on the committee of women in Islamic Spirituality and Equality and a member of the Muslim womens Global Shura council. In this article, she discusses the struggle of growing up as a Muslim in a southern California environment. Commentaries about her lifestyle and the mistreatment of the various Islamic studies professor/speaker are revealed in this article. The source was somewhat biased considering it was an article written by a Muslim woman. However, it was applied resourcefully to the Muslims in America section of my website. This helps me with my topic in the way that I am able to understand the difficulties of the Muslim intolerance just in America. It brings confirmation to my questioning on the Muslim persecution after the infamous incident of 9/11 which sparked a feeling of anti-Islam since then.

"Anti-religious Campaigns." Anti-religious Campaigns. Library of Congress, 22 July 2010. Web. 25 Jan. 2014. This source is on the anti-religious campaigns that were sponsored during the reign of Stalin. A letter from Lenin via Molotov to the members of the Politburo is enclosed on this website. The letter is an explanation on how to rid of the Black Hundreds clergy and their followers, in order to fund famine relief. Basically, the crime of the Black Hundreds was discussed in the letter stating they had defied the government decree to remove church valuables. This primary source was extremely beneficial to the religious intolerance that went down in Russia during the reign of the ruthless tyrant, Stalin. The brutal plans that were discussed between these two anti-religious campaign supporters helped me to understand the urgency towards removing all possible churches in Russia. I was also able to understand the communist/atheists perspective towards the religious citizens of Russia at that time.

CBN News. Nigeria: Widows of Martyrs. online video clip. YouTube. YouTube, 26 Sept. 2012. Web. 27 Dec. 2013 On another YouTube domain, I have discovered another clip on Nigeria s widows whose Christian husbands have died from the militant Islamic group, Boko Haram. Interviews with 3 Nigerian women are given along with commentary from the interviewer himself. Each have their experience, watching their husband die first-hand in front of their eyes and all of them testify that although their life has been a struggle, their God has nurtured them and guided them through the pain. This video has allowed me to take on the perspective from a grown womans standpoint. Although their resilience has been more difficult than the children of Nigeria, the source has enabled me to compare the great difference between the two groups of children vs. women. To my research, it has brought reliable background information to store in the notes of my research because of its accuracy with the translation in the interview. To understand my topic more, this source has provided a great amount of detail with the interviews of the woman from the descript imagery I was able to depict from it.

Naomi Nakanishi 12/2/13 Period 2 NHD World History Project

This particular primary source is about the interview I had the opportunity to enforce upon a Christian missionary couple stationed in Tunisia. The wife s incidents as well as opinions are stated based on her knowledge of Christian persecution. A great ordeal of information on the Muslims point of view towards Christians was expressed as well as some background information on her experience with a Muslim. This provided a greater expansion of my knowledge on how a Muslim perceives the average Christian visiting their country. Being able to listen from a woman who first handedly experienced the Muslim oppression brought supporting evidence towards my thesis about the unfair treatment towards Christians in the Middle East. Her situations that she was in influenced my emotions to where I could picture the heavy oppression she was faced with upon her secret distribution of bibles and sermons.

"Code of Canon Law." Code of Canon Law - IntraText. Libreria Editrice Vaticana, n.d. Web. 24 Jan. 2014. The collection of the Code of Canon Law, or laws used during the era of the Roman Catholics belief of heresy as a crime is displayed. This source includes background information of the reasoning behind the creation of the Canon Law as well as search generator which allows you to view any part of the Canon Law. This helps me with my topic because it gave me an insight on the actual law enforcements placed on the Roman Catholics during that time period. I was able to use this as a background for my thesis in relevance to my topic, religious intolerance. It brought an understanding towards the severity of violating one of the Canon Laws as well as the children s role as a part of the Canon Law.

Naomi Nakanishi 12/2/13 Period 2 NHD World History Project

The painting was used under the Historical Context section of my website, and illustrates the Romans early method of torture during the reign of Nero. The museum gallery is not a biased source due to the fact that it does contain other paintings besides this one on Christian persecution.

Iraq - Christians in Peril. Perf. Open Doors USA. YouTube. YouTube, 08 Dec. 2008. Web. 05 Feb. 2014. This video provides an in-depth look of the Iraqi Christians residing gin Mosul and Amman, Jordan. A narrator travels out to those countries interviewing various women and children in the public markets of Mosul. He then travels to Amman and retrieves an interview with an Iraqi Christian named Dial. She explains the dangers her family has experienced due to the religious virtue she acquires. The source was slightly biased due to the fact that it is a Christian organization interviewing this group of people, yet the interviews of these people provide true evidence to the existing religious intolerance in Iraq. To help my research, the video provided a good standpoint on the Christian views of their religious intolerance which helps to balance out the religious intolerance of my project.

"Jewish Virtual Library." Home | Jewish Virtual Library. American-Israeli Cooperative Enterprise, n.d. Web. 15 Feb. 2014. Web. Included is an in-depth documentary on a Muslim woman who was taught to hate Christians from birth, henceforth a true Muslim. The documentary on YouTube told her story of her dying mother and the suicidal tendencies she expressed due to her Muslim faith. Many quotes were taken down concerning her hatred towards Christians. However, her miracle of her mom was told as well as her coming to Christ. The source was somewhat biased because of the fact it is a Christian organization which runs the video. It was included in the Christians in the Middle East section of my website. The simple faith from a stubborn-hearted woman provides the sense of reasoning towards the tolerance of accepting Christian faith in Muslim societies. Because of her experience and miracle of coming to Jesus, my thesis is greatly supported as to why Christians should not be persecuted for their religion. My research has served me well in the sense where this factual story can have a foothold towards my reasoning.

Her statement of a water pitcher as well as the way shes brutally mistreated can be read upon this article. The source was not biased and was included in the Blast to the Past section of my website. Upon reading Perpetuas prison diary, I have come to connect the past with the present situations on other victims of persecution. The unbiased trial this woman was put through brings an argument that can well be talked among considering the unfair treatment. Her stronghold of Christian faith provides a background to the faith of all Christian martyrs around the world, past and present.

His story was used in the Atheist in Indonesia section of my website.

Naomi Nakanishi 12/2/13 Period 2 NHD World History Project

This source is the article Richard Wagner had wrote in 1850, to describe his distaste towards the Jews during the reign of Hitler. Richard Wagner, a musician during that era, explicitly describes the reasoning towards the hatred of the Jews, and briefly discusses the interference and intolerance of any Jewish influence in his music. As a musician, this has helped me with my topic because from that standpoint, I was able to recognize the aspects of the musicianship Richard shared towards the Jews. The persecution of the Jews is clearly displayed from this text only because of the disgust Richard expressed towards the Jews in general. It has brought a different perspective to my thesis in that religious intolerance is not only expressed in the generic human, but in a musician and their musical sense.

Unger, Michal. "On the Persecution of the Jews of Lodz." The Last Ghetto: Life in the Lodz Ghetto. N.p.: Yad Vashem, n.d. 40. Yad Vashem. SHOAH Resource Center, The International School for Holocaust Studies. Web. 30 Jan. 2014. This source includes two diary entries, one from a Jewish youth named Yarden, and the other, a Jewish man named Moshe Flinker. The current state of both their family situations and daily life during the rule of Hitler are described in the diary entries. The image of corpses on the streets, and Jews bitten to a pulp are explicitly explained from Yardens entry. In Moshes entry, he emphasizes and expresses the pain he feels for the spiritual loss of his brothers due to the persecution of the Christian-Jews. Because this source included two letters for me to analyze and observe based on the Holocaust era, it helped me immensely to get a closer insight on the daily life of the average Jew. The violence and anti-religious feelings that were expressed in the diary entries brings to my research, a new understanding towards the anti-Jew campaign in Germany. To my thesis it brings a support to the differentiating side of the Jews during the Holocaust.

It includes images of the German military assault, the starving Jewish children, and the German siege of Warsaw at that time. A brief article on the background information for these photos is included on the website. The primary photographical sources help me with my topic because it s a different approach to the analysis of the anti-Semitism area of the Jews by the Germans. Proof of religious intolerance is displayed by these photos and the emotional aspect of the photographs can be utilized to support my thesis of the severity of religious intolerance.

Bhattacharji, Preeti. "Religion in China." Council on Foreign Relations. Council on Foreign Relations, 16 May 2008. Web. 31 Jan. 2014. Also, the CCP (Chinese communist party) and their notorious outlaws of religions and intrusions of house churches are described in this source as well. To approach religious intolerance in a country other than America or the Middle East truly brings variety to my research/project. Different perspectives towards the religious intolerance in China serve to solidify the statement that not all religious intolerance mainly occurs in the Middle East or China. In current forms of religious intolerance, China serves as a

perfect example mainly due to the fact of its CCP which is a large organization and influence to the Chinese community.
