The John William Jackson Fund announces iYERPs

record 2013 metal recycling results and the 4th Annual
Environmental Stewardship Awards Ceremony
Boise, Idaho February 5, 2014
The John William Jackson Fund (Fund) in the Idaho Community Foundation announces record
2013 metal recycling results and its iYERPs 4th Annual Environmental Stewardship Awards
Ceremony. The event will take place Thursday, February 20th at 6 pm at the Lyle Pearsons
Mercedes-Benz Showroom, Boise Auto Mall, 451 Auto Drive, Boise.
The Idaho Youth Education Recycling Partnership (iYERP) and its recycling partners realized a
significant increase in metal recycling revenue in 2013 which totaled $103,000 compared with
$74,000 the year before. The record results are 21% above the previous high ($85,000) reached
in 2011. The higher than forecasted revenue will allow the Fund to increase grant awards in
2014 to at least $130,000, a $10,000 increase over last years grant total of $120,000.
iYERPs mission is to advance responsible environmental stewardship on construction projects
throughout the state. More than one million pounds of scrap metal (ferrous, non-ferrous and ewaste) was recycled and kept out of our landfills. iYERP could not achieve these results without
the encouragement and support of its many partners. said Bill Action Jackson, Vice President,
Development.
The Idaho Chapters of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) and U. S. Green Building
Council (USGBC) have again teamed up with iYERP to present the annual environmental
stewardship awards for 2013. See attached list of recipients.
Important Note: iYERP is dedicating the awards ceremony and 2013 metal recycling campaign
in memory of Todd Wolf, a Pacific Steel & Recycling employee, who lost his life in an accident.
Over the years, Todd and his fellow Pacific colleagues have provided the transportation support
and recycling containers for iYERP. Pacifics partnership with iYERP is one of the reasons for
our success.
The media is cordially invited to join us and cover the annual event.
