2014 New England Division III Womens Indoor Track and Field Championships General Information

DATE: Friday, February 21, 2014 (Pentathlon) Saturday, February 22, 2014 SITE: Springfield College, 263 Alden Street, Springfield, MA. 01109 Meet Director: Jim Pennington Contact: 413.748.3351 or jpenning@springfieldcollege.edu FACILITY: 6 42 Lanes 8 Straightaway Mondo FTX surface Long/Triple Jump & Pole Vault runways on inside of track Automatic Timing Only pyramid spikes permitted Only coaches & competing athletes allowed in the infield ELIGIBILITY: Only those institutions that have paid the annual membership fee for 2014 are eligible to compete. ENTRIES PROCEDURES: All entries will be done via Direct Athletics at: http://www.directathletics.com/ Deadline for entries is Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 11:59pm. Entries via fax or as an attachment in an email will be rejected. Ned Bishop will verify all qualifying lists for legitimacy and accuracy. ENTRY FEES: There are no entry fees. The entry fee was paid as part of the annual membership. Please note if your institution has not paid its annual membership fee, you will need to bring a check for $300.00 made payable to the New England Womens Division III Cross Country and Track & Field Association. Alternatively, the check can be mailed to Matt Hird, Treasurer, 33 Crowfield Drive, Warwick, RI. 02888. GAMES COMMITTEE: Martin Beatty, Ned Bishop, Matt Hird, Kristen Morwick, Jim Pennington SPIKES: max, no Pins or Christmas tree spikes only PYRAMIDS WEIGH IN: Weigh ins will be done at shed Friday 2-4pm, and Saturday 9-10:30am

CLERKING: Clerking will be done in track shed, check in and hip numbers will be done at this location. Relay cards with correct athletes names need to be turned in during clerking. WARM UP: Will take place in the Field House. FOOD POLICY: Food and beverages may be brought into the facility, we ask that you clean up after the competition and use the trash containers provided to help keep our facility clean. AWARDS: T-Shirts are awarded to TOP 3 in each event as well as certificates to top 8 in each event. ADMISSIONS: Admission will be charged to spectators at $2.00 per person. HEAT SHEETS/PROGRAMS: Heat sheets will be sold to the public at a price of $2.00. CONCESSIONS: Concessions will be available in lobby of PE Complex near entrance to complex. LOCKER ROOM ASSIGNMENTS: Locker Room for men and women will be located in PE Complex lower level directly under Blake Arena. Look for postings on the wall by the ramp in PE Complex. DIRECTIONS TO SPRINGFIELD COLLEGE: Please see attached. ATHLETIC TRAINERS: The Springfield College athletic training staff will be available to assist student-athletes from other schools. If your team will not be traveling with an athletic trainer, please contact the Barclay Dugger at 413-748-3650 and enclose a note with your athletic training supplies with instructions for your athletes that need treatment. The only modalities that will be available are moist heat (with a note from an athletic trainer) and ice, no electric modalities will be available. Please provide your own taping supplies. PARKING: Team buses should plan to unload at the P.E. Complex Parking. After buses unload, turn around behind the P.E. Complex. Take a right onto Alden St. Take a right onto Wilbraham Road. The bus parking lot on the corner of Wilbraham Road and King Street. SPECTATORS: Only coaches & competing athletes allowed in the infield.
