In the source above, it talks about Mormons and polygamy. It talks about polygamy and how its also known as plural marriages and it means that a man can have two or more wives at the same time. The source also talks about the Mormon Church and how they have come up with a certain passage from the bible in order to back up what they are doing. It also says that at the moment the Mormonism does not practice polygamy officially but at the same time they have never claimed that practicing it is something wrong or the fact that they were practicing it in a large number is the past it wrong. They are now saying that the polygamy is a practice, which was commanded by God with the help of the living prophets, and at the same time it was also forbidden by God.

In the source above, it talks about how the Mormon Church officially renounces polygamy. It says how in 1890, Mormon leaders reluctantly issue the Mormon Manifesto in which they command all Latter-day Saints to uphold the anti-polygamy laws of the nation. It talks about how the followers of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints had been practicing the doctrine of plural marriage since the 1840s. It states that the doctrine was distinctly one-sided: Mormon women could not take multiple husbands. Even though only a tiny minority of Mormons practiced plural marriage, many church leaders were very reluctant to abandon it, arguing that to do so would destroy the Mormon way of life.

This source talks about the Mormons freedom of religion. They talk about what freedom of religion means and why they need freedom of religion. They dont like how they cant practice certain things because its against the law. They want to be able to practice certain things that the U.S. wont allow. The Book of Mormon is the word of God, like the Bible. It is Holy Scripture, with form and content similar to that of the Bible. The prophets in the Book of

Mormon recorded Gods dealings with his people, which were complied by a prophet names Mormon onto gold plates.

What I learned from this website is that Mormons do not practice polygamy anymore. The practice of polygamy is prohibited in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mormons believe Gods standard of marriage is monogamy, or marriage between one man and one woman. The church has not practiced polygamy since 1890. Any member found to be practicing plural marriage is excommunicated from the church. We are not affiliated with any group currently practicing polygamy.

The show documents the life of a polygamist family, which includes patriarch Kody Brown, his four wives, and their 17 children. Its completely real. Its really informative and it shows you how its like to live in a polygamist house.

It talks about why Mormons used to practice polygamy as well as how it was practiced. It also talks about the history of polygamy. All of the rules of polygamy are written and are very detailed.

This is an article all about Mormons. It has a timeline that talks about Utah and about its anti-polygamy law. It talks about how Mormons went against it and how they fought for their rights. Also, the article mentions that many residents of Utah were very upset with the law. This eventually led up to a court case known as Reynolds v. U.S.

This source is all about Utahs anti-polygamy law. It includes the example, Sister Wives, which is a T.V. show. It mentions how the problem with Utah's law is that it didn't just outlaw true polygamy, which is the practice of claiming more than one legal spouse at a time. It also prohibited cohabitation by unmarried people with multiple sexual partners. Many residents were upset.
