Define any problem related to your university life(losing weight, academic management, financial management, choosing group assignment member ect) One of the problems that often faced by me on my daily university life is to translate an English word that I am not sure the meaning of it. Even though there are tons of dictionaries in UUM, but sometimes there are words which cannot be found easily in those dictionaries. Thus, it can take longer times for me to accomplish my task.

Identify any technology tools/devices to solve your problem (apps, computer based system ect) In this era of technology, there are lots of devices and technology tools in the market. Each comes with different purposes and style. Some of them are even free. Hence, people nowadays are able to easily have the tools to solve their daily routine problems. In my case, I found out that there is application called Google Translate. Google Translate is a free, multilingual statistical machinetranslation service provided by Google Inc. to translate written text from one language into another. This application not only can be found when browsing Google, but also can be installed into the gadget via Android Market. Google Translate performs well especially when English is the target language and the source language is one of the languages of the European Union. Results of analyses were reported, showing that French to English translation and Italian to English translation are relatively accurate as well. However, rule-based machine translations perform better if the text to be translated is shorter. Edits of translations may be submitted, in Chinese specifically one is not able to edit a sentence as a whole, instead editing based off arbitrarily sets of characters, leading to incorrect edits.

 Discuss how will you solve the problems

Since I had already installed the application, my works are now more easier than before. Whenever I found difficulty in understanding English words, I will use the application and translate the words into Malay language. I can use it anytime and anywhere and moreover it is free. Thus, I no longer have to pay for the pricey dictionaries. Moreover, if I dont have any internet connectivity around, I still can use the application since it had been already installed to my gadget. This application has helps me a lot during my studies here. Without it, I may not be able to settle my work as good as before.
