Digital Humanities Projects 2013 Collaborator, The ATLmaps Project The ATLmaps project combines archival maps, data visualization, and user contributed multimedia in a novel geospatial platform to promote investigation into any number of issues about Atlanta. As audio editor The Religious Sounds Map Project Interdisciplinary partnership between GSUs New & Emerging Media 2CI Cluster and the Department of Religious Studies to record, archive, and map the sounds of religious eventspersonal and public, formal and informal, planned and spontaneousthat arise in Atlanta's religious diverse communities, often in unexpected places (schools, shopping malls, public spaces) in order to document geographic distributions and migrations of distinct religious communities. As audio editor and researcher The LGBTQ History Project A collaboration between GSUs New & Emerging Media 2CI Cluster and GSUs Special Collections and Archives that combs a significant collection of oral histories on the rise of Atlanta LGBTQ community from the 1960s to the present. Testimonies are cross-referenced with archival materials in order to map the varied public and private spaces, many of which no longer exist, that were instrumental in turning conservative Atlanta into one of Americas gayest cities.
