De la Seora:
Can you believe this was the first five-day, full day week of school since the week of November 18? It was so good to be together all week. It was also fun to have the extra activities for book week. The class really enjoyed the focus on books and having the school wide DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) times. They got to browse the used book sale and have a sixth grader come and read. Most importantly they got to experience the amazing Middle School play. The play was rich in metaphors of faith and it was so encouraging to see how much the class understood about Gods unconditional love. On another note, please see that the auction is coming up. If you have ideas for a class project, please let me know! Upcoming Events: Early dismissal, 12:30 Parent Conferences School in session End of 3rd quarter Early dismissal, 12:30 LG Auction No school, Good Friday Early dismissal, 12:30

Bible: We continue to finish up the Old Testament stories in our Jesus Storybook Bible. We also had good discussions about the Middle School play as it relates to our faith. Bible Memory: Matthew 5:!6 Due: March 28 Math: * Equivalent names and number boxes * Families of operations * Measuring in centimeters * Frames and arrows * Unit 6 test next week

Language Arts: These last weeks we have been focusing on our homes and communities. We have read stories about our communities and about having fun together in our neighborhoods. The class worked on drawing pictures of their house, inside their house, and their communities as well as writing about each of those. We learned lots of new words and enjoyed sharing stories together. We also worked on some phonics skills to improve our reading.
