Previous knowledge
: Pupils have learnt about tenses and occupations such as firemen, policemen, doctor, soldier, teacher and scientist.
Objectives
: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to: 1) Recognize the verbs in the text. 2) Fill in the blanks at least 8 verbs correctly in the form of simple present tenses. 3) Produce a short paragraph consist of at least 4 sentences with teachers guidance.
Teaching aids: Stick puppets, Answer cards, Videos entitled Peoples Work, LCD, speaker.
Teaching-Learning Activities 1. The teacher plays the puppets and performs a short sketch. 2. Teacher asks the pupils the types of

occupation involved in the sketch. 3. Teacher asks the pupils which occupation they would like and would not like to be in the future. 4. The teacher introduces the topic to the pupils.
Presentation
1. Teacher explains the definition of verbs and its examples to the pupils. 2. Teacher asks the pupils to give the other examples of verbs that they might know.

3. Teacher distributes the lyrics to the pupils. 4. Teacher plays the song and asks pupils to listen to the song first. 5. Teacher sings alone and pupils listen to the pronunciation of the teacher. 6. Teacher and the pupils sing the song together. 7. Practice
1. Pupils are divided into pairs. 2. Each pair is given an answer card. 3. Teacher shows pictured passages on the board. 4. The pairs discuss the answers together with the teachers guidance. 5. Teacher reads the passage and the pairs with the correct answer card should raise and show the card to the rest of the class.
