WHY I WROTE THIS E-BOOKLET

Ive always believed in praying Scripture. You simply cant go wrong when you do! The Bible says that men who were under the influence of the Holy Spirit wrote what we call the Bible. Thus, when you take the Words inspired by the Holy Spirit and pray it back to God the Father, you can be assured of answered prayer because God cannot go against His Word. Ive been in childrens ministry since I was 18 and was blessed with a son shortly after I turned 30. One of the most powerful and long-lasting gifts we can give our children as parents and as childrens ministry leaders is the gift of prayer. I also know that when it comes to praying for our kids, most of us are not sure what we need to pray for. The Scriptures I share as prayer points in this booklet are ones I have used myself in my personal prayer times for the children I teach at church and in leading Childrens Church workers in prayer. This list is in no way exhaustive but I believe it is enough to get you started storming the Throne Room of Heaven on behalf of your children. Go ahead and insert your childs name wherever you see me write childs name. Lets dive right in.

1. Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom (in broad and full understanding) and in stature and years, and in favor with God and man. (AMP) This is one of my favorite prayers to pray over my church kids. Our kids will do well when they walk in the wisdom of God. Its also imperative that we cover their physical well-being (stature) in prayer. And yes, they could use a dose of Gods favor over their lives! Prayer: Father, I pray that (childs name) will continually increase in wisdom and understanding. Bless them as they grow physically and may they continually obtain favor before You and men. 2. Ephesians 1:17 [For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him (AMP) Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, I pray that you grant (childs name) the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the deep and intimate knowledge www.achosenremnant.com

of you. May they have a personal revelation of your power and might on a daily basis. 3. Ephesians 1:18 By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His setapart ones), (AMP) Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, flood the eyes of (childs name) with your marvelous light so that they can know and understand the hope to which You have called them. 4. Isaiah 11:2 And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the reverential and obedient fear of the Lord (AMP) Prayer : Father in the name of Jesus, I pray that you will grant to my child the Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. grows, may they be filled with the Holy Spirit and cause them to bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit. 5. 2 Timothy 1:8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner; but be thou a partaker of the afflictions of the Gospel according to the power of God, Prayer: Father in the Name of Jesus, I pray that (childs name) will never be ashamed of the testimony of Jesus Christ. Help him/her to stand boldly for your name sake and even if they have to suffer for your name, help them to do so fearlessly and without compromise. 6. 2 Timothy 2:1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. Prayer: Father in the Name of Jesus, I pray that (childs name) will be strong in the grace that is found in Jesus Christ. 7. 2 Thessalonians 3:2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

Prayer: Father in the Name of Jesus, deliver (childs name) from unreasonable and wicked people who will influence them negatively. Father, if there are people whose faithlessness will distract my children from following You, may their paths never cross with my child. I pray that they will meet people who will challenge them and encourage them to live out their lives for You. 8. Luke 22:31-32 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. Prayer: Father in the Name of Jesus, I know that the devils plan for my child is to steal, kill and destroy. So I am standing in the gap today for (childs name) and praying that you will preserve them so that their faith will not fail. I pray that as they are strendthened in their faith on a daily basis, they will influence others for your glory. 9. Deuteronomy 28:1-3 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD www.achosenremnant.com

thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field. Prayer: Father in the Name of Jesus, I pray that (childs name) will listen diligently to your voice and obey your Word all the days of their life. As they listen and obey your Word, Lord, bless them in all they do and cause them to be a blessing to their generation.

10. Psalm 5:12 Surely, LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield. (NIV) Prayer: Father in the Name of Jesus, surround (childs name) with your favor as with a shield! 11. 1 Samuel 26:25

Then Saul said to David, May you be blessed, David my son; you will do great things and surely triumph. (NIV) Prayer: Father in the Name of Jesus, I thank you that (childs name) will be blessed. I thank you that (childs name) will do great things and I thank you that (childs name) will surely triumph all throughout their life! 12. 2 Corinthians 2:14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christs triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. (NIV) Prayer: Father in the Name of Jesus, I thank you that you continually lead (childs name) in triumphal procession. I pray that they will rejoice all throughout life no matter what happens and that as they rejoice and live in heavenly triumph on a daily basis that they will spread the aroma of Jesus Christ everywhere! 13. Daniel 6:3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent

spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, grant (childs name) an excellent spirit. May they always perform at the highest level in everything they put their hands to do. 14. 3 John 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. Prayer: Father in the Name of Jesus, I thank you that (childs name) will continually prosper in all they do and be in health. 15. Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. Prayer: Father in the Name of Jesus, I pray that (childs name) will be passionate about winning souls and making disciples for your Names sake. 16. John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring www.achosenremnant.com

forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. Prayer: Father, thank you for choosing (childs name) to bear fruit for your name. I pray that you will show them what youve chosen and ordained them to be. Help them not to miss your purpose for their life in Jesus Name. 17. Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Prayer: Father in the Name of Jesus, I pray that (childs name) will fall in love with your Word and will meditate upon it all the days of their life. Help (childs name) to obey what they read in your Word so that their way will be prosperous and successful. 18. Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (AMP) Prayer: Father in Jesus Name, I thank you for making (childs name) a bold and courageous warrior in your Kingdom. I pray that they will never back down from their stance in Christ. I pray that they will be totally convinced of their identity in Jesus Christ and that because of their boldness, many will come to know Jesus. 19. Romans 1:21-23 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles. Note : I love to pray this prayer over my kids because theres nothing sadder than to see children who grow up in church decide at a point that they no longer want anything to do with the faith of their parents. Its one of the most heartwrenching things and so I particularly love to pray that children will not remove God from their

understanding but will continually glorify God with their lives. 20. Proverbs 12:11 He who tills his land shall be satisfied with bread, but he who follows worthless pursuits is lacking in sense and is without understanding. Note: Its so important to pray that our kids will be hardworking and responsible. In this verse, the Word of God tells us that there in fact is a reward for working hard and avoiding worthless pursuits. Pray this for your kids and watch them grow into well-rounded individuals capable of supporting themselves as well as a family when the time comes. 21. Philippians 1:20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. Prayer: Father in the Name of Jesus, I pray that Jesus Christ will be magnified in my childs body whether it is by life or death. 22. Proverbs 13:20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus, bless my child with wise friends and people who influence him/her for you! 23. 1 Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested. Note: You can put your childs name wherever Jabez says me. A great book to read is the Prayer of Jabez (Multnomah) by Bruce Wilkinson. I discovered that book in 2009 and it totally blessed me! 24. Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. Note: This is another great prayer where you can substitute your childs name wherever it says thee. Its no secret that the devil has many weapons planned against us. However, it is great to know that Jesus died and rose again to defeat the devil and his schemes. It is however up to us to enact or appropriate that victory in our lives on a daily basis and this is one of those prayers where you can do exactly that. 25. Numbers 6:24-26 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. Note: This is a great blessing to speak over your child as they get ready to leave the house for school every day.
