For almost 100 years we have de-

signed and built continuously operated
pressing plants to process oilseeds
including key components like:

Continuous Solvent Extraction

Apart from mechanical oil separation

by screw presses, solvent extraction
is the most common technique to
extract oil from oil bearing materials in
large scale operation.

Harburg-Freudenberger offers tailor-

made solutions with the carrussel
extractor as the key component. More
than 350 plants with capacities varying
from 50 to 4,000 t/day give proof of
our capabilities. Our systems enable

Refining Plants for crude oils
and fats
In order to produce an oil safe for
human consumption various undesi-
rable components have to be removed
from the crude input products. Similar
process steps are also required prior to
further processing for different applica-
tion, e.g. biodiesel.
Color, taste, purity, shelf-life (stability)
and melting point are key quality para-
meters. The respective refining steps
are performed carefully in order to
achieve these, maintaining at the same
time the characteristics and desirable
components of the natural product.
We offer specific systems and plants
for all relevant refining steps from
degumming, to deodorising, to a fully
refined product. Our plants have pro-
cessing capacities of up to more than
1,000 t/day.
Easy operation and minimum product
losses, highest product quality and
