Precautions For the correct use and good performance of the player, the user must fully unde rstand the manual as well as strictly follow the instructions provided. ? Never knock the main machine violently. ? Never contact with chemicals such as benzene, thinner etc. ? Do not close to strong magnetic field, electric field etc. ? Keep away from direct sunlight or heating appliances. ? Never privately dissemble, repair or modify the player. ? Using the player and the earpiece during bicycling, car and motorcycle d riving is likely to cause danger. ? Never use higher volume, which may damage your hearing ability. ? Divide scraped packing, batteries, old electronic products and dispose t hem properly.

Preparation before Use Appearance Key Function / : Prev/Next or Up/Down. Short press to switch between different options, long press to fast rewind or forward. ?/?: Left/Right. : OK/Play. When playing a file, press it to switch between different statuses: play/pause/continue. Ok key for menu : Exit, short press to return to the previous interface or exit from volume bar. L ong press to fast return to the application interface. : Menu, Short press to show submenu. Long press to pop up volume bar, and press ?/? or / to adjust volume. : Navi, for game operation. Start: long press to power on and off. Select: for game operation. Key Operation Action Basic operations Short press Key pressing time less than 1.2 sec Long press Key pressing time more than 1.2 sec Hold Press the key and keep the key pressed Note: unless otherwise specified, press in this manual means short press. Power On/Off When the switch is on, long press Start to power on or off. When the idle time reaches the idle time set by the user, the player is powered off automatically. Note: this function is invalid when the player is connecting to PC. Low Power When battery power is low, the player will prompt and enter Standby automaticall y. Please dont turn on the player. Charger current specification recommended: 400-500mA. File Storage Files of different types should be saved under different directories. For exampl e, music file should be saved under MUSIC dir. Record file, under RECORD dir... Otherwise player is u nable to find the corresponding files.

Connection System Configuration OS: Windows XP/2K/ME/98 (driver installation needed) /Linux9 and above /Mac OS 1 0 CPU: Pentium-133MHz at least Memory: 32MB at least Hard disk free space, 100MB at least

Video card: above 640*480, enhanced color at least (16 bits) Connecting to a PC Connect the player to PC with the supplied USB cable in power-off/on status. Ple ase refer to <Setting-Advanced-Connection Type> for details. Disconnect the USB cable or delete the hardware on the PC, the system enters pla yers operation mode. If do not disconnect USB cable, the system will stay in charging mode on its ope ration interface. Connecting to a Charger/Adapter Connect the player with the charger; the system will display two options: <Power & Play>.and <Charger>. The operation is the same as <Connecting to a PC>.

Music Select <Music> on the application interface and press to enter its main menu. . The system will stay on the interface that exited last time when the player turn ed on. Main Menu Now Playing: continue playing the music exited last time. All Music: list all the music files stored under MUSIC directory in the player. Artist: artist list; select one artist, the next level is the list of music by t he artist. Unknown Artist: the music by unidentified artist. Unknown Album and Unknown Genre are the same. Album: album list; select one album, the next level is the list of music in the album. Genre: genre list; select one genre, the next level is the list of music of this genre. My PlayList: five lists in total; each list contains the music classified by use r. Dir List: Internal Memory, External Memory. Internal Memory contains all music f iles in the player. External Memory lists all music files in card. If no external memory, th e system will directly show all files in the internal memory. Record List: FM Record and Voice Record; list all recorded files. My Rating: list five ratings (1-5 Stars); each rating displays all the music of the ratings. User can rate music according to their favorites. Tag List: list all the music tag set by user; supporting up to 32 tag lists. Press / to select, press t. Music Playing Interface 1Play/Pause: press to play music and press it again to pause. 2Fast Rewind/Forward: when the player is in play or pause status, long press to rewind and long press for forward. 3Change music: press for previous file and press for the next one. Operation: unless otherwise specified, press to enter menu of lower level, pre ss / to switch between different menu options or adjust value, press to confirm and pr ess to return to the previous menu. 1. AB Repeat: Select <AB Repeat>, press , A- is shown on the interface, indicating poi nt A is confirmed. Press again, B is shown, indicating point B is confirmed and start repeat. If at this time press again, the A-B icon will turn grey, indicating A B repeat cancelled. 2. Play Mode: Sequence, Repeat One, Repeat All, Shuffle Shuffle+Repeat and Intro . 3. Select EQ: Normal, Rock, Pop, Classic, Soft, Jazz, DBB, User EQ, SRS WOW, SRS WOW HD and SRS User Mode. 4Play Speed: set music playing speed from -4 to 4. 5Display Mode: set the display mode of music playing interface: Album, Lyric and S pectrum. 6Set RatingSet music rating. 7Add Tagpress , The now-playing music with its current time point will be added to Tag List. Delete Tag: enter <Tag List> and select one tag, press to show the Confirm to del ete? Window, select OK or Cancel. 8Add to My Playlist: enter <Add to My Playlist> and select one list and press , th en the now-playing music is added to the list. Delete from My Playlist: enter <My Playlist> and select one list to enter; selec t a file, press to show the Confirm to delete? Window, select OK or Cancel. The file is del eted from the playlist only, not from the player. 9. Delete: delete a file from player press , select OK or Cancel. 10Setup Music Replay Times: from 1 to 10 or . Replay Interval: from 1sec to 7sec. Scan Speed: 2/4/8/16/32. Fade In/Out: On or off. 11Setup EQ User EQ: Band: 80, 200, 1k, 4k and 8k; Range: -6db +6db, Press to select the ba nd and press / to adjust range. SRS User Mode: SRS 3D0 ~ 10, TruBass0 ~ 10, FOCUS0 ~ 10, Center1 ~ 10, Definition0 ~ 10, Speaker60Hz/100Hz/150Hzand LimiterEnable/Disable to show the Confirm to delete? Window

12. Information: Check the information of now playing music.

Photo Select <Photo> in the application interface to enter its main menu. Main Menu Now Playing: the same as <Music>. Dir List: the same as <Music>. Play Mode: set display mode, List Mode and Thumbnail Mode. List Mode Press / to move up and down Thumbnail Mode Press ?/? to move left and right, press / to move up and down Slide Interval: set photo playing interval: 1-10 Sec. Slide Effect: set special playing effect: Normal, Fly In, Chessboard, Cut, Erase , Louver, Random Line and Random. 1. Press to start playing photo. 2. During playing, press to switch between auto and manual play mode. For manu al mode, press / to view the previous or next photo. Submenu When browsing a picture manually, press to enter submenu, it includes: <Rotate >, <Zoom>, <Slide Interval>, <Slide Effect>, <Set Background>, <Default Background>, <Set a s StartUp> and <Set as Shutdown>, <Delete > and <Information>. 1. Rotate: select an angle to rotate photo: 90, 180 and 270 degree. 2. Zoom: Press to enter, select Zoom in or out and press to execute. Press to return to the submenu, press it again, the submenu disappears. For zoom out, press / to move photo up and down, press and to move left and right; press to exit from Zoom. (In Z oom function, cannot select the previous and next picture). Note: Zoom and Rotate functions are ineffective to GIF pictures. Zoom function i s ineffective to the picture of < 320*240. 3. Set Background: press to set the now-playing picture as the background of a pplication interface. 4. Default Backgroundpress to restore the background to the default one. 5. Set as Startup: press to set the current picture as power-on picture. 6. Set as Shutdown: press to the current picture as power-off picture.

Note: 1. <Delete> and <Information>: the same as <Music>. 2Please refer to Main Menu for the description of <Slide Interval> and <Slide Effe ct>.

Videos Select <Video> in the application interface to enter its main menu. Main Menu <Now Playing>, <Dir List> and <Tag List>, please refer to <Music-Main Menu> for description. Video Playing Interface 1Play/Pause: press to play video and press it again to pause. 2. Rewind and forward: long press / to fast rewind and forward. 3. Change File: press / to switch to the previous or next file. Submenu In video playing interface, press to enter submenu, it includes: <Play Mode>, <Scan Speed>, <Add Tag>, <Display Mode>, <Resume>, <Delete> and <Information>. At this time, v ideo playing stops and will continue if the system exit from the submenu. 1. Play Mode: Sequence, Repeat One, Repeat All, Shuffle. 2. Scan Speedset the step of fast forward/rewind. 3. Display Mode: Full Screen, Original size and Scale. 2. Resume: break-point playing. Note: please refer to <Music> for the description of <Add Tag>, <Delete> and <In formation>.

TV Rec Select <TV Rec> in the application interface. 1. Connect the player to video source (such as top box, DVD player), shown as follows:

2Select the corresponding format to enter, PAL or NTSC. 3. Press to start video recording and press it again to pause; press to exit. T he system will save the file first before exit.

4. Press to enter the menu, including <Record Timer><Save Path>, <LCD Setting> a nd <Record Quality>. 1) Record Timer: set 5 recording timer. a. Enter one timer, set Start Date, Start Time and Recording Length. Press to switch Year/Month/Day or Hour/Minute/AM/PM, press / to change the value. b. Or go to Repeat Timing, Press to enable/disable the function, when it is en abled, an option Repeat Timing will show, enter it to select a day. Note: when <Repeat Timing> is enabled, no need to set Start Date and it will be shie lded. 2) Save Path: internal memory, external memory (do not show if no card inse rted). 3) LCD Setting: if select On, the players LCD will automatically go off if no operation in 3s. 4) Record Quality: High, Medium and Low.

Camera Select <Camera> in the application interface to enter: <Capture>, <Video Recorde r> and <PC Camera>. Capture 1. Select <Capture> to enter frame. 2. Press to take picture; 3. Adjust focus: press / to zoom in/out. 4. Press to enter the submenu, including <Preview>, <White Balance>, <Bri ghtness> <Exposure Mode>, <Special Effect>, <Save Path>, <Resolution>, <Self-timer>, <Shu tter Sound> , <Date Stamp>, <Display Mode>, <Face Detection> and <View Parameter>. 1) Preview: fast browse pictures. 2) White Balance: auto (default), indoor, outdoor. 3) Brightness: value range from -3~+3. Default is 0 4) Exposure Mode: auto (default), indoor, outdoor. 5) Special Effect: off (default), black & white, sepia, negative. 6) Save Path: internal memory, external memory (not shown if no card insert ed). 7) Resolution: 320240, 640480, 1024768, 1280960 (default). 8) Self-timer: off (default), 5 sec, 10 sec, 15 sec, 20 sec. 9) Shutter Sound: off, sound 1 (default), sound 2, sound 3. 10) Date Stamp: off (default), date, date and time. 11) Display Mode: Full Screen, Original Size and Scale. 12) Face Detection: On and Off. 13) View Parameter: preview all set parameters. Video Recorder

1. Press to start recording and press it again to pause. Press to exit, the system will automatically save the file before exit. 2. Press to enter submenu, including<Preview>, <White Balance>, <Brightne ss> <Exposure Mode>, <Special Effect>, <Save Path>, <Resolution> and <Record Quality >, <Record Gain>, <Display Mode> and <View Parameter>. 1) Preview: fast browse the recorded files. 2) Resolution: 320*240, 640*480 (default). 3) Record Quality: high (default), medium, low, auto-adapted. 4) Record Gain: adjust the recording volume: off and 1~5. Note: please refer to the <Capture> for the description of other menu options. PC Camera 1. When entering PC Camera, the player will automatically detect whether US B cable is plugged in. The interface is shown as follows: 2. PC camera icon will show on the C disk of PC, click it to enable.

Recorder Select <Recorder> on the application interface. Select <MIC Recording> or <Line-in> Recording Interface 1. Press to switch between recording and pause. 2. Press , the system will prompt Stop Record?, select <OK> or <Cancel>. If <OK>, the recorded file will be automatically saved in the <Music-Record List-Voice>. 3. When it is in recording or pause status, press to save the recorded file. 4. After the player has been recording for 1hr, the start time will changes to 0 1:00 and hour point will be 02:00. Submenu In recording interface, in pause status, press to enter submenu, it includes: <Record Format><Record Quality> and <Record Gain>. 1. Record Format: set the format of the recording file. 2. Record Quality: High, Medium and Low. 3. Record Gain: adjust recording volume: 1-7.

FM Radio Select <FM Radio> in the application interface to enter. The Earphones work as a n antenna, so

please connect them before using. FM Interface 1. Listen In: enter FM interface, the channel frequency will be the one exi ted last time. The default frequency is 87.5MHz for the first time. 2. Press to switch between Normal and Preset mode if there are channels s aved before. 3. In Normal Mode, press / to decrease or increase one frequency point. I n Preset Mode, press / to switch to the previous or next saved channel. Submenu In Normal Mode, press to enter submenu, it includes: <FM Record>, <Record Qual ity>, <Record Format>, <Record Gain>, <Save Channel>, <Auto Search>, <Channel List>, < FM Sensitivity>, <User Channel List>, <Tuner Region> and <Mute\Play>. In Preset Mode, press to enter submenu, it includes: < FM Record >, < Record Q uality >, <Record Format>, <Record Gain >, <Delete>, <Auto Search>, <Channel List>, <FM Sensitivity>, <User Channel List>, <Tuner Region> and <Mute\Play>. 1. FM Record: press to enter. Please refer to <Recorder> for operation. The re corded file will be saved to <Music-Record List-FM Record>. 2. Record Quality: the same as <Recorder>. 3. Record Format: the same as <Recorder>. 4. Record Gain: the same as <Recorder> 5. Save\Delete Channel: press to save the current channel and the saving locat ion can be selected in the Channel list. If re-enter the channel list after saving, the men u will show <Delete>-delete the current channel. 6. Search Channel Manual Search: in Normal Mode, press / to search channel backward or forward. L ong press for fast search. Auto Search: select <Auto Search>, the system will start auto search and automat ically save the found channels and play the first one. If no channel found, the system will stop at the first frequency point. During the search, press to exit, the system will stop at the la st found channel. 7. Channel List: list the saved channels. Select one channel and press to ente r the FM listening interface to listen. Support up to 20 channels for each band. 8. FM Sensitivity: High, Medium and Low. 9. User Channel List: user can define channel name. After auto search, User Chan nel List will generate a Default.ini file in U-Disk\SYSTEM\FM. Open the file on the PC and mod ify its file name or open the file, define _CH01_, _CH02_.... User also can customize .ini fi

le by following the format of Default.ini. 10. Tuner Region: USA: 87.5108MHZ, Step: 0.1MHz Japan: 7690MHZ, Step: 0.1MHz Europe 87.5108MHZ, Step: 0.05MHz 11. Mute/Play: press to switch.

EBook Select <EBook> in the application interface to enter the main menu. Main Menu <Now Playing>, <Dir List> and <Tag List>, please refer to <Music-Main Menu> for description. Text Reading Interface Press to switch between Auto Mode and Manual Mode . In Manual Mode, press / to turn to the previous or next page. Submenu In the text reading interface, press to enter submenu, it includes: <Skip to>, <Auto Reading Speed>, <Font Size>, <Add Bookmark>, <Select Coding>, <Select Color>, <Delete>, <Resume> and <Page>. 1Skip To: jump to the target page. Press / to adjust reading percentage. Step: 5 %. 2. Auto Reading: speed: Press / to change the value from 3s to 15s. Step: 3s. 3. Font Size: change font size: small, medium and large. 4. Add Bookmark: the same as <Music-Add Tag>. 5. Select Coding: select the language. 6. Select Color: select the background color, default and 4 colors optional. 7. Delete: delete the current text. 8. Resume: break-point playing. . 9: Page: enable page turning effect.

Tools Select <Tools> in the application interface to enter. The player supports <Stopw atch>, <Calculator> and <Calendar>. Calculator 1. Select Calendar and press to enter. 2. Press / and ?/? to move. Press to confirm. Calendar 1. Select Calendar and press to enter. 2. Press to switch among Year/Month/Date, short or long press / to chan ge value. Stopwatch 1. Select Stopwatch and press to enter. 2. Press to start/pause/continue counting. Press to save the current counting and start a new one. At the 5th counting, press to re-start the 1st counting. 3. When counting is paused, press to show Clear box to clear counting record. Game

Select <Game> in the application interface to enter. Menu Select a game and press to enter its menu. 1. Restart: start a new game. 2. Load Progress: continue to play previous gamethe game progress shall be saved b efore. 3. Option: press / to move up and down to select. 1) Sound Output: enable game sound. 2) Keyboard Mapping: customize key function. Enter key mapping interface, s elect one item, long press to activate it (its color will change to Green), then press the cor responding key to set, long press again to exit from the setting of the key (its color wi ll change back to White). After the setting, select <Save Change>, or <Reset Default Settings> and finally press to confirm. 3) Display Mode: set normal display or full screen display. 4. Quit: exit to game list. When game is over, the system will return to the menu and there will be one more option <Save Progress>. User can press to save game progress.

Browser Select <Brower> in the application interface to enter the main menu. Main Menu 1. If no external memory available, the system will directly enter internal memory, including folder: TXT, VIDEO, PICTURES, MUSIC, RECORD, GAME, System and other user files. 2. Select one folder and press to view its file list and then select one file in the list and press to open the file. Press to exit. 3. The operation of External Memory is the same as that of Internal one. Submenu Short press to enter submenu, it includes : <Select All>, <Move>, <Copy> and < Delete>. 1. Select any one of <Move>, <Copy> and <Delete> to move, copy and delete a single file or folder. 2. Or select <Select All>, select all files under the current dir or in the folder. Once selected, the color of file name will turn blue. 3. At this time, press / to switch one file or folder, press or to ca ncel the selection, and press again to re-select. 4. Press to return to the submenu, <Select All> now is <Cancel All>, you may select it to cancel all selections. 5. Or select <Move> or <Copy> to enter and choose the target path, then pre ss to confirm, then the selected files/folders will be moved or copied to the target folder. 6. Or select <Delete> to delete all selected files/folders.

Setting Select <Setting> in the application interface to enter the menu. Press / to select and press to confirm. Effect Setting Set interface switching effect: Normal, Cube, Zoom and Push. Desktop Theme Set the style of application interface: Coverflow, List Menu and Grid. Coverflow List Menu Grid Cross Note: for Cross, press ?/? and / to directly select Applications and menu options. Display 1Backlight Time Off, 5, 10, 20S, 30S, 1M and 5M. If the Backlight Time is off, then no black scr een. If not off, the screen will turn black if no operation during the set duration. Notethe function of Backlight Off will be shielded for some functions, such as vid eo playing, picture auto-playing, camera/video recorder view finding. 2. Backlight Brightness: 1-5 levels. Power Saving 1. Idle Time Off, 10S, 30S, 1M, 1M, 5M and 10M. If the Idle Time is off, the player will not shut down automatically, if not off, the player will shut down in case no operation during the set duration. Notethe function of Power Off will be shielded for some functions, such as video playing, picture auto-playing, camera/video recorder view finding, now recording. 2. Sleep Mode Off, 10S, 10M, 30M, 1Hr, 2Hr, 3Hr, 4Hr and 5Hr. The player will shut down when t he set time reaches. Date and Time 1. Adjust Date Set system date. Press to switch among year/month/day, press / to change the value and press to confirm and exit. 2. Adjust Time Set system time. Press to switch among hour/minute/AM\PM and press / to chan ge the value. Press to conform and exit. 2. DRM Time Check the Safe clock of the music downloaded from internet. Language

Support English, Simplified Chinese (default), Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Ko rean, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Czech, Danish, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Hebrew, Thai, Hungarian, Romanian and Arabic. TVOUT 1. Connect the player to video source. Please refer to TV Rec for the conne ction; 2. Press / to select Off or PAL/NTSC; 3. Enter an application to select the file to play. Advanced Player Information Show the players basic information: User Name, Player Name, Firmware Version, Tota l Space, Free Space, Card Capacity and Card Free Space. Connection Type 1. USB Disk If select this option, when connecting the player to PC with the supplied USB ca blethe system will show: <Data Transfer>, <Power & Play> and <Charge>. User can select one to enter. Or the system will automatically enter <Data Transfer> and prompt: USB busy... do not disconnect and enter USB Disk mode. The Movable Disk window will also show on PC. If select <Power & Play>, the system will enter application interface while keep charging at the same time. If select <Charge>, then the system will enter start charging, press to enter app lication interface. 2. MTP Device If select this option, when connecting the player to PC with the supplied USB ca ble, the system will show: <MTP Device>, <Power & Play> and <USB Charge>. User can select one to enter. Or the system will automatically enter <MTP Device> and prompt: USB busy... do not disconnect and then enter MTP mode. The MTP Media Player window will also show on the PC. Other operation is the same as USB Disk mode. Select Font User can save font file in Udisk-SYSTEM-FONTS to replace the default font. Delete the saved font file to restore the default font. Select Key Sound Off and 3 types of key tone optional. Format Internal Memory Format the player. Please save data before format. Format External Memory Format card. Please save data before format. Set User Name Press / and ?/?to move ; : delete; : confirm. Clear DRM HDS Enter the dialogue box Confirm to clear all DRM HDS, select OK or Cancel. Check System Select to enter, the system prompts: May require a few minutes to check. Select Ok, the system starts self-checking. Reset Default Settings

Select it and the system will prompt: Confirm to restore default settings? Select Ok , then the settings of all applications will restore to the factory setting.

Firmware Upgrade This player provides with firmware upgrading tool to upgrade or repair the firmw are in the player. 1. Download the latest firmware. 2.
