computations, it should be based on the approved For Construction Drawings. It will be submitted for correction/approval of the client/s and designers. In these computations of rebar cutting lists, minimum wastage is to be considered from each commercial length that will be used in the project. Only approved materials complying with the standard specifications & requirements set by the designer, duly noted by QA/QC inspector that it has proper documentation and passed a series of test requirements indicating batch file numbers of materials are to be use in the fabrication and installation. FABRICATION Cut and fabricate reinforcement bars needed for installation using the approved rebar cutting list and staking plan as the basis. Prior to fabrication, double check actual clear lengths based on actual site condition with respect to the approved cutting list, make adjustments as per actual measurement if necessary. The bar will be cut based on cut length from a commercial length using a bar cutter. If the bar needs to have a hook, it will be bended using a bar bender until the degree of bend will be met. Note that each machine has a maximum bar diameter to be Page 5

Methodology of Rebar Fabrication & Installation

PLASTERING Check all areas to be plastered base on latest FCD and approved drawings. Prepare all documents to be submitted/routed/signed/ by all concern prior to commencing plastering to insure all utilities are inplaced. After obtaining the approval, prepare plaster bases and substances for direct application of plaster , removing loose materials and substances which might impair the work. Immediately apply scratch coat on areas to be plastered to insure maximum bonding of plastering to CHB wall. Provide concrete button or concrete guide strips to insure alignment and plumbness of the finish plaster following the surveyors layout and set-out points. Allow scratch coat to dry then apply the finish coat following the guide buttons or strips using straight aluminum bars to specified smooth trowel finish. Clean the area and moist cure the completed plastered surfaces.

technical requirements of the structural supervisor and in compliance with all the requirements appeared in the approval of cutting list. II. Monitoring and Control on/offsite activities The fabrication in charge will check the actual cut length to see if they match in the cutting list and fabrication requirement to avoid the confusion and error during the installation of rebar. III. Cutting and Fabrication Fabricate desired diameters of rebar to desired length using approved rebar cutting list and structural framing plan as the basis of fabrication. Double check actual clear length of the are of installation on site with respect to the approved cutting list , make sure adjustments as per actual measurement if necessary. Also maximize the materials such that the total length of rebars is utilized and wastage is minimized. IV. Briefing of Installer & Steelman In order to avoid the mistakes during the installation, the steelman will be advised of all the detailed requirements, regarding rebar installation. Also , they will be provided a copy of approved cutting list. V. Installation

Quality Assurance Program

I. Jobsite Quality Control Trained project Supervisor / General foreman will supervise and control the quality of works, monitor if the rebar that have been installed meet the DCTC Profile

The installation works will be strictly under the supervision of the appointed site rebar supervisor/ general foreman, to follow the details. Also, installed rebar as per approved cutting list, Page 8

checking proper spacing, splicing and tightening lateral ties and main bars will be thoroughly given attention. VI. Rectification After the joint inspection with the project management or general contractor , we will rectify all the defective areas until the final acceptance by the project management representative.

Assigning specific responsibility and accountability are key to successful management. Safety pays.
