This day and age many people used or use technology. This essay is on whether or not students should be allowed or should not be allowed to use cell phones during school. I do not think students should be able to use cell phones in school. I don't think that should be allowed because the school's tests scores would decline dramatically, phones would be a distraction from learning. Then when they get to the //th grade they won't do very good on the Scholastic Aptitude Test because they didn't really learn anything before.

Cell phones are taking over high schools, let's face it. In this day and age cell phones are almost a necessity. 0ave you ever been sitting in the middle of class and you hear a cell phone go off+ The common reaction is to look and see who's phone it was, then you loose focus and the teacher has to repeat what they were saying. This gets most teachers mad and many students upset. Students believe that teachers taking their phones away is not fair, when really you should have been paying attention to the lesson instead of distracting another student from learning. The teachers do not want to take the cell phone away from you but it is part of their #ob duties. They #ust want what is best for you and they want you to succeed in life. $any school administrators have taken the position that school rules should prohibit the use of cell phones during class, tests ,e"ams and in the washrooms%change rooms. Teaching staff should set a e"ample for the students by not making or receiving phone calls during class time. They should avoid taking pictures of students engaged in misconduct for the use as evidence, or identifying a students identity. Teachers must set a good e"ample for the students as they are looked up to by students. Students and parents should be reminded that there are payphones and the office phone are always available in case of emergency at any time. School policies on cell phone use in school should seek to teach students how to use new technology in a respectful and responsible way.
