Lubrication & Sterilization Tips

Read and follow the lubrication and maintenance instructions for your particular high speed and low speed handpieces and attachments. Always remove bur from high speed or low speed handpiece before cleaning and sterilizing. Before cleaning your low speed handpiece, disconnect contra-angle head and sheath from motor. Clean all external surfaces using a small toothbrush with isopropyl alcohol or water. Use steam sterilization. Do not use dry heat sterilization. Do not expose handpiece to chemical disinfection or cold sterilization by immersion techniques, Surgical Milk, surface wipes, handsoaps, detergents or surface sprays. Do not sterilize in bags containing disinfectants. Place handpiece in paper sterilization bag or paper/plastic sterilization pouch only. Temperature during sterilization cycle should not exceed 135F. Remove handpiece from sterilizer after drying cycle ends and allow to cool in bag. To prolong life of your handpiece, be certain you read and follow the lubrication instructions that came with your handpiece.
