In addition to engineering soft-
ware for HMI operator devices,
the SIMATIC WinCC flexible prod-
uct range also includes HMI soft-
ware for PC-based visualization:
One WinCC flexible Runtime
software is required for each tar-
get system. This software is
offered in three variants with
128, 512 and 2048 PowerTags
for Windows 2000 and Windows
XP Professional.
PowerTags are variables with
process links, in addition to 4000
configurable messages. The
number of available variables
can be increased using Power-
Packs.
WinCC flexible Runtime is config-
ured using the engineering soft-
ware WinCC flexible Advanced.
Existing ProTool/Pro projects can
be applied.
The basic version offers powerful
functions for operator control
and monitoring, signaling and
logging. Archiving functions, rec-
ipes, process diagnostics, config-
urations with so-called Sm@rt
Servers and Sm@rt Clients, as
well as service and diagnostics
via web are optional.

standard MPI or PROFIBUS DP cable.

cation is possible (except TP070),

Programming/configuring made

SIMATIC STEP 7-Micro/WIN
The configuration data of the
TD 200, TD 200C are stored in the
S7-200 CPU. The message texts and
configuration parameters are gener-
ated using the STEP 7 Micro/WIN
programming software. Additional
parameterization software is not
required.
For data exchange with the
TD 200 or TD 200C, special data
areas are reserved in the CPU of the
S7-200. The TD 200 or TD 200C
access the respective required func-
tions and data of the CPU over these
data areas. The complete configura-
tion is therefore stored in the data
memory of the CPU. The customer-
specific operator interface of the TD
200C is configured with the support
of a Micro/WIN V4.0 wizard.
The TP 070 is configured using the
STEP 7 Micro/WIN Toolbox "TP-
Designer" configuring software. You
can find a detailed description on
how to configure the TP 070 in the
online help feature of the TP-
Designer. The TP-Designer can be
used as stand-alone software or
integrated in STEP 7 Micro/WIN.
A PC/PPI adapter cable is required for
downloading the configuration.
SIMATIC WinCC flexible
A separate low-cost engineering
package of WinCC flexible is offered
for configuring the OP 73micro and
TP 170micro: WinCC flexible Micro.
Of course, the Compact/Stan-
dard/Advanced versions, which per-
mit the configuration of further
operator devices from the HMI prod-
uct range right up to the PC, can be
used as well.
Simple and fast configuring via
clearly structured user interfaces,
ready-to-use graphic objects, intelli-
gent tools for graphical configura-
tion (e.g. creating links between
graphics using the drag-and-drop
feature), as well as support with
multi-language configurations.
A PC/PPI adapter cable is required for
downloading the configuration.
