Finally, Im very proud to announce that our department is now overseeing Michigans Child Protection Registry, similar to the national Do Not Call Registry. This program helps protect kids from adult ads for things like alcohol, drugs, gambling and pornography. Parents can register their childs cell phone number or email address at www.protectmichild. As a mom myself, I am very proud our office will be a part of the first line of defense in protecting kids from these ads. Finally, my thanks to each of you for your kind words, suggestions, warm hospitality during visits and ongoing support!

Some of the best business minds in the state, from a wide range of industries, met with Secretary Johnson this week as part of her Business Roundtable. The goal for the group is to save tax dollars and improve operations through best business practices.
