Agricultural Field Sales Executive - Animal Feed Farm Sales

Locations: Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia ED&F Man, a world-leading global agricultural commodities trading company, is looking for experienced Field Sales Executives to join the Animal Nutrition Sales Team. The position will involve selling a range of ruminant feed products to farmers throughout the European Sales territories, and will require first class sales, new business and account management capabilities. To support this expansion, we are looking to recruit ambitious field sales executives to sell our animal nutrition products to individual farmers and farm management groups throughout Europe. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, proactive self-starter with experience in agriculture sales. You must enjoy working independently covering a wide geographic area and be able to organise and structure your time to produce effective results. Applicants should have a good understanding of farming and agricultural issues in general. The expansion plans cover Eastern Germany, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic and we are looking to build substantial and successful sales teams in all these regions. RESPONSIBILITIES Maximising animal feed sales across allocated region within the Dairy, and Beef farming sector. Identify and develop business opportunities, through building and maintaining strong lasting relationships with the farming community Managing existing accounts within your region Delivering against monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets Preparing and delivering presentations to farmers Effective territory and diary management Work independently and regularly report in to local Country and Sales Managers

PERSON SPECIFICATION A background in agriculture is essential for this role, ideally in ruminant nutrition and understanding of farming issues Degree Educated in an agricultural subject is desirable - agricultural science, agricultural engineering, animal management/nutrition, agri-business, farm business management

A minimum of 1 year sales experience is required, preferably with a proven track record of agricultural sales and developing new business Highly motivated with the ability and willingness to work at different levels from farmers to management Reliable and conscientious with an ability to work independently English, in addition to the required local language, must be spoken to a business level. Results focussed, driven to continuously achieve/surpass sales targets Able to manage a large rural territory and work independently, structuring own time to effectively achieve results Account management experience Personable nature, able to deal effectively with a wide range of individuals Possess a full valid driving license for the country concerned
