IDENTIFYING THE SOURCE

The scientic community has access to the Human Genome, but Nu Skins breakthrough ageLOC science gives us the ability to interpret it in a meaningful way. In a recent scientic discovery, Nu Skin, in collaboration with anti-aging and genetics experts, has identied key groups or functional clusters of genesYouth Gene Clustersthat help inuence how we age. Nu Skin believes that nding and identifying these functional groups of genes is the key to addressing aging at its source. Clinical study results, genomic analyses, and substantiated research from ageLOC science has led Nu Skin scientists to identify specic functional Youth Gene Clusters that are responsible for youthful skin attributes and youthful vitality. The expression of the skin-related YGCs is responsible for the signs of aging on our skin. The expression of the mitochondrial YGC is responsible for the loss of vitality people feel as they age. Through ageLOC science, Nu Skin has the ability to reset these genes to behave more youthfully, helping us look and feel younger.

RESETTING THE BALANCE

Once we identify these Youth Gene Clusters, its important to reset them to reect a more youthful prole. This heatmap illustrates gene expression of three groups from a pre-clinical test with one of the ageLOC Vitality ingredients: young (column 1), old (column 2), and old with ageLOC science (column 3). Each row represents one of 52 genes comprising the mitochondrial Youth Gene Cluster (mtYGC). Columns 1 and 2 show that each of the 52 genes became more or less active during the aging process.
