Course This course targets various calculations involved in the process setting, process balancing
Description and designing of different yarn structures.

Expected • Participants should be able to calculate yarn counts using different systems available and
Outcomes convert the yarn count from one yarn numbering system into another.
• Appreciate the importance of moisture content in the calculation of ‘correct invoice weight’
while selling and / or buying of textile products.
• Grasp the concept of calculating speeds of different machine parts using multiple drives.
• Participants should be able to do ‘spin plan’ calculations.
