PROFILE
A Regional Sales Development Manager with over 20 years experience leading teams of 60 180 people for a leading manufacturer and marketer. Managed multiple business branches and projects ranging from 50K to 2.2M. Exceeded targets and implemented change by building and leading teams to surpass ambitious goals and targets while exceeding customer service expectations.
CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS
Leadership of the regional sales teams to exceed all key performance indicators (KPIs) and service goals. Increased volume and dollar targets by 3% while at the same time decreased regional operating costs by 1%. Provided coaching and mentorship to Regional Sales Managers, Territory Managers, and Franchisees. Improved relationships and agreement compliance by developing their abilities to lead and influence their teams both in the field and the classroom. Developed budget forecasts enabling efficient period budget and financial reviews that enhanced goal achievement of all key metrics and KPIs that achieved and delivered sales targets more effectively. Managed and coordinated with Regional Sales Managers to launch a standards of operations (SOP) score-carding tool, designed to measure and monitor performance resulting in increased sales, market execution and customer satisfaction. Member of the Joint Task Force with the VP Operations, Director Regional Sales and Senior Development Manager, reviewed and approved process improvement projects. Sharply reduced and limited the time to approve requests and reduced negative projects. Presented to employees and franchisees during quarterly Western Canada regional sales meetings, resulting in greater engagement that enable tactical and strategic plans and objectives. Developed an accurate 18-month business report and planning tool to track effectively our planned activities in Western Canada, the successful planning, implementation and execution resulted in reaching all our key milestones and targets. Leadership and development of new business in a previously un-serviced territory in Northwestern Ontario. Increased revenues by more than $4.5M, as well as strengthened customer relationships and service. Created a process to broker and negotiate the sales of 19 franchised business delivery routes in 2012 worth approximately $2.2M. Managing the entire process with no service disruption to the network.
Introduced the first company software system to aid in direct store delivery (DSD) and route optimization. Reduced the lead-time from weeks to days, to creating an efficient direct store delivery system, reducing operation costs by 20%. Launched a new standard franchise agreement to over 230 owners in Western Canada. Achieved over 95% conversion rate to the new standard agreement, meeting the organizations target and in turn providing both parties greater protection. As part of the organizational leadership team I led the transition from a company operated direct store delivery (DSD) structure to a franchised DSD model. This strategic move increased profitability as well as provided greater sales, product visibility, presentation and product fulfillment.
