Year 2 Mixed ability Listening and Speaking Language Art World of Stories The Wheels on The Bus This lesson focuses on listening and speaking. Teacher introduce the song The Wheels on The Bus, including some sound effect of different object. Teacher encourage students to sing during the learning process. 1.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to pronounce words and speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm and intonation. 1.1.3 Able to listen to, say aloud and recite rhymes, tongue twisters and sing songs paying attention to pronunciation, rhythm and intonation. By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to know the different sound of each object and pronounce them correctly. 60 minutes 1. The Wheels on The Bus song 2. Self-made bus model. 3. Help students to recall the lesson. Drilling students for better understanding. Involve all students in teaching and learning process. Involvement of peers support. Students need to apply to knowledge acquired during the lesson.

Show pictures of different types of vehicles and asked the students to point out the picture of bus. Ask the students to name the vehicles instead of bus. Show the lyric of the song. Read the lyric to the students and ask them to repeat after teacher. Drill them for at least two round of reading. Teacher plays the song for two times. Sing the song together with the students. Pause the song after each paragraph to give further explanation. Divide the students into three groups and each of the group will sing one paragraph of the song. Sing the song for the last time with all three groups of students. Teacher pastes some pictures that can be found in the video song on blackboard and let the students to match the pictures with words. If the answer is wrong, teacher will ask the help from other students to correct it for their friends. Teacher will clear some alphabets from the words. Teacher asks the students to pick the alphabets and stick in the space provided on blackboard.
