1. What are the various levels of conflict that influence the performance of the Titans?

Ans 1. The conflict that influenced the performance Titans was: Dysfunctional conflict, Dysfunctional Relationship conflict and also the process conflicts and the task conflicts. Dysfunctional conflicts are those which hinder the performance of the group. It is destructive forms of conflict, and Relationship Conflict focuses on interpersonal relationship. In the movie there was Dysfunctional Relationship Conflict as there was a struggle between the whites and the blacks and the interpersonal relation were not good between both the white and the black team. This hindered the team ability to play together and to be a successful team. The process conflict Centers on task strategy and delegation of duties and resources. In the movie also there was a process conflict as the coach of the team was replaced by the new coach or rather the coach was assisting the new coach brought for the team. The Task conflict involves disagreement about the work that is being done in a group. In the movie there was a task conflict as both the team was not ready to work together and were not ready to agree upon the task they were meant to do together. In the beginning they were not ready to accept the other team.

2. According to Wageman and Donnenfields conflict intervention model what are the team intervention used by coach to reduce team conflict.

Ans 2. Wageman and Donnenfields conflict intervention model talks about four kinds of interventions that Team leaders/managers can use to improve quality of conflict resolution processes which are as follows: Team (re)Design Task process coaching Conflict process coaching Changing the individual

In the movie the coach did the following interventions: Team re-design: the team as some new member were added to the team. New goals were set for the team. Task process coaching: As the new coach was brought in the team the whole process of training the team was changed. The coach trained the team to perform better through strict training strategy. Conflict process coaching: The coach also tried to provide the conflict process coaching as he tried to mingle both the whites and the blacks and tried to reduce the conflict between the two. As when both the team were leaving for their training session the coach made the sitting arrangement in which one white has to be sited with the black.
